"I knew MLK(JFK), MLK(JFK) was a friend of mine, MLK was my Uncle and Senator, you're no MLK(JFK)!....borrowing a great line from Llyod Bensen to use it to some up MLK's niece Alveda King.
Obama's speech last night was hailed as the culmiation of Reverend Martin Luther King's Dream speech on August 28, 1963 given after the March on Washington for civil rights. King said he had a dream of an America where Dr. King prayed that people and his children "will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character." However I do not think that the late great Reverend King must be shedding tears at the reality of how ruthless and heartless Barack Obama is when it comes to the Issue of Life and his objection to the Born Alive Infant Protection Act. Here is the best that Obama can come up with on the issue of Life.
-
Obama's Acceptance Speech: "We may not agree on abortion, but surely we can agree on reducing the number of unwanted pregnancies in this country......You know, passions may fly on immigration, but I don't know anyone who benefits when a mother is separated from her infant child......."CNN
How ironic that 400,000 children in the African American womb are euphemisticly reduced to "unwanted pregancies" who number should be reduced and moments later Obama pledges to unite children from other countries with their mothers who are in the USA illegally.
From Life News
- Alveda King called her uncle "a man of great compassion, and a man of non-
violence."
- "He once said, 'The Negro cannot win as long as he is willing to sacrifice the lives of his children for comfort and safety,'" she added.
- King said her uncle would understand that to include the destruction of unborn children....was the greatest Civil Right fight of our age...
- "I know in my heart that if Uncle Martin were alive today, he would join with me in the greatest civil rights struggle of this generation - the recognition of the unborn child's basic right to life," she told LifeNews.com.
- "My uncle Martin would agree that we cannot end poverty, hunger, or suffering by killing those who might suffer," she explained. "We cannot claim to guarantee equal rights if we deny the rights of the helpless. And we cannot feign ignorance of the fact that those who are torn apart, crushed, or left to die on an abortionist's table are just as human as we are."
- "My uncle said that injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere," Alveda continued.
- "There is injustice in our land. We have turned being unwanted into a crime penalized by death. Today, I echo the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. - let freedom ring. From every mountain top, let freedom ring for all Americans, wanted and unwanted, born and unborn," she added.
Alveda King relates here that her grandfather, Dr. Martin Luther King, Sr., once said
“No one is going to kill a child of mine.”
Tragically, two of his grandchildren had already been aborted when he saved the life of his next great-grandson with this statement. His son, Martin Luther King once said, “The Negro cannot win as long as he is willing to sacrifice the lives of his children for comfort and safety.” How can the “Dream” survive if we murder the children? Every aborted baby is like a slave in the womb of his or her mother. The mother decides his or her fate.
The famous anti-slavery image was of a black man in chains, on his knees, saying, "Am I not a man and a brother?"
Like a Slave, is an unborn child not a brother?
Obama you fall short of Martin Luther King, Jr on the 45th anniversary of his immortal speech on the Washington DC mall.....by my I judgement the content of your acceptance speech was thin especially when your most memoral line was that babies are "unwanted pregnancies" which reflects on the content of your character which falls short as you support the continued abortion of 1,452 African American daily! Indeed, Senator Obama you are no MLK!....
