I agree with Charles Krauthammer statements on Brit Hume's show tonight. Palin is anything but a Policy Wonk. Which I could care less about but I guess is a club the MSM will use against her. Charles K. indicated Palin's answers were somewhat rote on obtuse issues like the Palestinian-Israeli solution. Guess this asymmetry is precisely the reason there is no solution!
I wish she would have said that this issue is so difficult that Even Bill Clinton and 0bama who btw is no Bill Clinton could not get Arafat to take a sweetheart deal offered at Camp David. How is an 0bama and Biden(a former Clinton Crony) going to get Palestine to deliver when they want to exterminate Israel especially if Bill could not. Again 0bama is no Clinton!
I agree with Hume and Krauthammer that McCain and Palin are letting 0bama have the upper hand on the Fannie Mae "Regulation Issue" and it is inexplicable to them given the history of McCain's asking for oversight on this looming problem. I think it has to do with the Keating 5 controversy. Too bad McCain won't jujitsu them with this as the economy is the very reason McCain's poll numbers have dipped. Go figure?
I think the Governor was charming, natural, at ease, confident and fiesty. I think she had some Reagan-esque one liners and that was refreshing. I also think she was somewhat repetitive and superficial with too many soundbites and not enough meat. However her accomplishments to date taken together with this performance indicates that she certainly has potential to grow and will be a force to reckon with in the future.
McCain better set the record straight on the Fannie Mae mess and the havoc it has reaped on the economy because Americans are furious about this including me. I for think McCain should forget this Mr. Nice Guy routine with 0bama and educate America about Raines, Gorelick, Johnson, Franks and his Fannie Mae Spouse, Dodd and his own efforts and those of conservatives who tried to bridle Fannie Mae. McCain should own this issue and not let 0bama hijack it when his party and his ACORN activity prior to his Political Career have created this mess. Furthermore the Government is now taking on these deadbeat mortgage holders and in 10 years we'll be back to this ground zero. I am so upset about this as is everyone else and by setting the record straight he could harness this anger as a fuel to help him win the oval.
That's all...I been quiet lately as my head has been in a spin over McCain and Palin's flatfootedness and do not counterpunch strategy on this issue.
Cheers, Doc
