Sean Hannity on Abortion Pills and Father Euteneur

Dear Sean Hannity:  You have on more than one occasion advocated Birth Control pills.  You keep on Slamming a Good Priest on Air, Father Euteneur and cry out that the Church needs to reform itself.  Well Priest like Fr. Euteneur are part of the answer.  The other part of the answer is for the Laxity like you and me to get informed about Birth Control issues.  Your Position, Mr. Hannity is that of a Slippery slope!  Birth Control Pills are ABORTIFACIENTs! That means they cause abortion of a fertilized Ovum(EGG) which occurs just out side the fallopian tubes or in them!  By the time the Birth control pills works there is a Soul that GOD has created!  You are so wrong on your position.  The Pope just left it up to the local Bishops to decide what to do with Cafeteria Catholics which you are acting like.  Inform your conscious Sean about this issue.  You are now parsing it to say that you believe Birth Control is OK with non-Catholics.  People can get an ANNULMENT Sean.  You are using extremes of abuse when you discuss divorce.  Learn about what an Annulment is.  You are killing me Sean.  You are sounding very ignorant and non-intellectual.  Sean be truthful to your faith so LEARN about it better than you have.  The Good Lord blessed you with the talent to learn and understand.  Please refrain from making sweeping generalization.
1:41. And it came to pass that when Elizabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the infant leaped in her womb. And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost.
Et factum est ut audivit salutationem Mariae Elisabeth exultavit infans in utero eius et repleta est Spiritu Sancto Elisabeth
1:42. And she cried out with a loud voice and said: Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.
Et exclamavit voce magna et dixit benedicta tu inter mulieres et benedictus fructus ventris tui
1:43. And whence is this to me that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
Et unde hoc mihi ut veniat mater Domini mei ad me
1:44. For behold as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in my ears, the infant in my womb leaped for joy.
Ecce enim ut facta est vox salutationis tuae in auribus meis exultavit in gaudio infans in utero meo
1:45. And blessed art thou that hast believed, because those things shall be accomplished that were spoken to thee by the Lord.
Et beata quae credidit quoniam perficientur ea quae dicta sunt ei a Domino

Et ait Maria magnificat anima mea Dominum

Open Letter to Sean Hannity about Birth Control Pills which are known as "Abortificients"

Dear Sean Hannity:  Too bad you lost your cool and showed loss of class with the way you handled a good priest Father Euteneur.  Additionally you showed much ignorance about Birth Control Pill when you stated you had been a seminary student.  Birth Control Pills are Abortifacients! Indeed as a practicing Catholic, I am very disappointed with the way the Roman Catholic Church handled the Priest Abuse. However you should realize that Child Abuse and Pedophilia affects anywhere from 2-4% of the general population per estimates. The Priest scandal amounts to less than 2% of the Population.  Pedophilia is a sickness afflicting the Human Condition including Priests.  This is not an excuse for the way they handled it but simply a fact.  To throw this at this Priest was a cheap shot.  Fr. Euteneur agreed with you and is also disgusted with the Pedophilia issue.  I hope think you reflex reaction to stop abortion with birth control pills is poorly thought out.  The use of birth control pills is an abortion as it prevents the implantation of a fertilized egg into the wall of the uterus.  The difference with Birth Controls pill murdered embryos and aborted fetuses is their size.  The end result is the same, a Soul that has been Conceived is killed before it has a chance to grow and the aborted "fetus" is killed after is has developed to this fetal stage.  Both are Nascent Life and have a SOUL!
I hope this info is useful to you as you continue the fight for what is right and moral.
Thank you and Dominus Vobiscum,

Abortifacient contraceptives

Birth control pills are routinely described as "contraceptives", that is, things that prevent conception, the beginning of a new human life. But in fact birth control pills sometimes act as "abortifacients", things that cause abortion.
Birth control pills act in three basic ways: (This information can be obtained from any standard reference work, such as the Physician's Desk Reference.)
  1. They suppress ovulation, that is, they prevent the woman's body from releasing an egg.
  2. They thicken the woman's cervical mucus, which makes it more difficult for sperm to reach the egg.
  3. They alter the lining of the uterus so that the zygote (fertilized egg, the first stage in the life of a human being) cannot implant. The developing baby receives his oxygen and nutrition through the uterus, so if the zygote-baby cannot implant, he starves to death. This is, therefore, an abortion.
There are basically three types of birth control pills:
  • high-dose, progestin and estrogen;
  • low-dose, about half as much progestin and estrogen; and
  • mini-pill, small amount of progestin, no estrogen.
The early high-dose birth control pills acted primarily by suppressing ovulation. Studies found that these pills succeeded in preventing ovulation somewhere between 90 and 98% of the time. However, high-estrogen pills are no longer available in Canada or the United States . They were removed from the market because of various dangerous side effects.
The newer low-dose pills are less effective at preventing ovulation and therefore rely more on the remaining two functions. As an egg is microscopic, it can be difficult to tell in any given case whether an egg really has been released. But Dutch gynecologist Dr Nine Van der Vange made an extensive study of women using these pills. She found proof that an egg had been released in 4% of the cases, and found follicle growth typical of what one finds in early pregnancy in at least 52% of cases.
The workings of the mini-pill are not fully understood, but it appears to allow ovulation at least 40% of the time, according to Emory University's Contraceptive Technology. Ovulation expert Dr. John Billings estimates that between 2 and 10 per cent of a woman's cycles are still ovulatory even when she is taking the Pill. That means there is a chance she can still conceive a child; but because of the Pill's effect on the lining of the womb, the child will not be able to implant, and will be expelled from the mother's body. Although this might seem to be a small percentage risk, over time the likelihood is great. Moreover, there really is no such thing as a "negligible" risk of aborting a baby. In this case, any risk is too great.
The Intra-Uterine Device
    (I.U.D)
The I.U.D. is a specially shaped piece of plastic or metal that must be inserted into the uterus by a doctor. Although it is not known for sure how it works, it is believed that an I.U.D. changes the lining of the uterus to prevent the fertilized egg from being implanted [emphasis added]. It may also slow the sperm down enough to prevent it from reaching the uterus.
For additional details on the Intra-uterine device click on the title above or go to www.campuslife.utoronto.ca/services/sec/iud.html or ask your pharmacist.
Contraceptive abortions
Some people have moral objections to contraception in principle. But that is not the issue here. Even those who see no moral distinction between preventing pregnancy through contraception and avoiding pregnancy through abstinence, must still object to any birth control method that relies, even a small percentage of the time, on destroying a life that has already begun.
It has been said that birth control pills usually act by contraception, that any abortions that result should be accepted as an unfortunate accident. This is a little like saying that it's alright to fire a gun randomly in the dark, as you usually won't hit anybody, and in the few cases when you do, it should be accepted as an unfortunate accident.

The Sean hannity and Catholic Priest Prize Fight!....

The Sean Hannity vs  Fr. Thomas Euteneur Prize Fight dates back to Tues-Wed last week
when the Priest sent an email newsletter out to his friends/supporters and commented on a supercilious comment made by Sean on eating Meat on Friday.  Sean mistakenly made a mistake and eat part of chicken sandwich.  When he remembered it was a Lenten Friday he stopped.  Of course this was not a sin but an innocent mistake.  However Sean made a Grand Apology on the Air and it sounded well, overblown and shallow.  The Priest used this incident to make a bigger point on Abortion and the way Catholics of all stripes are uninformed about the Gravity of Abortion.  Given the Prominence of Sean Hannity and other public Catholics like Kennedy, Peolosi, Kerry and Giuliani, the Priest made a very important point on Abortion.  With 69 million Catholics in America and the fact that a large number of them vote the Democratic Ticket and the recent You Tube Giuliani video supporting Abortion this issue has been brought to the fore.  Catholics of all stripes need to get the Abortion issue right.
Unfortunately Sean, who is a very big fish in the Talk Show Industry and is a big advocate of Birth Control and abortion in rape and if the mother's health is an issue.  This represents a slippery slope and I agree with the Priest who comments that Sean Hannity should be a scrupulous on Abortion as he is on the minor issue of eating meat on Fridays during Lent.  The Catholic Church handled the Abuse scandal in an abominable way and has not gotten a pass for it and is paying thru the nose for it.  However, the teachings of the Roman Catholic on Abortion is spot on!  Sean Hannity and Catholic Politicians need to wake up and get this issue right.

Even Mark Steyn indicates that the negative population growth rate in Europe has doomed that Continent.  The Adage that "God writes straight with crooked lines"  applies here.  69 million Catholic voters in American need to get this issue right.  Given the National Attention that the Hannity debate and Giuliani tape has placed on the Abortion issue I hope the Catholic leaders, Bishops and local parish Priest step up to the plate and instruct their flocks.  I am glad this happened because this the issue of our time and the existence of America depends on it!
Here is the video of this show down and here is more from Roman Catholic Blog on this debate

The Scooter Libby scandal is not a personal one but an American one. Al Qaeda laughs at us....

The Libby Case to me signifies that Conservatives Caveat!  Jefferson and frozen Money no problem,  Bob Melendez rented a property  which has paid rent of over $300,000 to a health group whose designation making it a federal qualified for grants was obtained by the Senator 1998, Murtha and Abscam, Harry Reid's involvement with Abramoff and family casino deals,  Kennedy’s (Ted and Patrick), DC Major Marion Barry, Gov McGreevy giving National Security clearance to an Israeli lover, no problem, David Rosen was Hillary Clinton’s campaign finance director who was indicted on charges of filing fictitious reports that misstated contributions for a Hollywood fund-raising gala.  Sandy Berger's document stealing of National Archive papers before the 911 commission.
However NYT outing the CIA Charter Jet Service for transporting covert operatives to question Al Qaeda, The Thrift program was a top-secret terror surveillance programs and the simple truth is that this surveillance either affected non “U.S. persons” or international transactions or conversations. NY Times' Public Editor, Byron Calame, admitted it was wrong and admitted that those who claimed “illegal domestic surveillance program” were spinning.
  • Byron Calame, the NYT Public Editor
  • Since the job of public editor requires me to probe and question the published work and wisdom of Times journalists, there’s a special responsibility for me to acknowledge my own flawed assessments.
My July 2 column strongly supported The Times’s decision to publish its June 23 article on a once-secret banking-data surveillance program. After pondering for several months, I have decided I was off base. There were reasons to publish the controversial article, but they were slightly outweighed by two factors to which I gave too little emphasis. While it’s a close call now, as it was then, I don’t think the article should have been published.
Those two factors are really what bring me to this corrective commentary: the apparent legality of the program in the United States, and the absence of any evidence that anyone’s private data had actually been misused.
I haven’t found any evidence in the intervening months that the surveillance program was illegal under United States laws.
  • What kept me from seeing these matters more clearly earlier in what admittedly was a close call? I fear I allowed the vicious criticism of The Times by the Bush administration to trigger my instinctive affinity for the underdog and enduring faith in a free press…

Then there is the NSA listening to in coming calls from non-citizens from Al Qaeda Types by NY Times' Risen and Lichtblau so they could publish a book to profit.  Mary McCarthy a CIA officer and former NSA's Director of Intelligence Programs appointee appointed by Sandy Berger and Bill Clinton leaks the Al Qaeda Secret Prisons in Allied Countries to WaPo's Dana Priest.   Sandy Berger, steals Classified Documents from the National Archives and no one what was in those documents and the Press does not go after this Clinton insider.  Berger is slapped on the Wrist.   It sounds like Scooter Libby perjured himself about what he knew but the leaker was Richard Armitage the Deputy Secretary of State w, who gave the info to Bob Woodward and Robert Novak, journalists opposed to the Iraq War.  If Libby does not get a pardon he'll go to Jail for fibbing(not remember or even lying about a leak he was not responsible for).

All of these stories are substantial and  criminal leaks that hurt the War on Terror but the Press and the Justice department acts as if it is not a Crime.
This is an upside world we live in.

Mr. Fitzgerald himself made his reputation as a tough prosecutor in Chicago who was nonetheless scrupulous about the law. But in this case, he knew from the very first day of his appointment in December 2003 that neither Mr. Libby nor the Vice President's office had orchestrated the leak of Valerie Plame's name to columnist Robert Novak but that Richard Armitage had. Thus the Wilson claim that this was a vendetta against Plame and him because of his bogus Niger Uranium report is unfounded.  Yet Fitzgerald chose to move ahead with the case.  Why?  Well consider that Pat Fitzgerald and James Comey were the Justice Attorneys going after Marc Rich while Libby was his attorney.  Rich's pardon may have be given based on the theory Libby was working on during the time before Rich fled the US for the Mountains of  the Swiss.  However it was Bill Clinton who pardoned this guy and Mrs. Rich gave his campaign and Presidential Library all kinds of donations.

Truly it sounds like Fitz and James Comey had a Fit over Libby's involvement with Marc Rich and were looking to even the score with him.
see the WSJ article excerpted on Opinion Journal.

The big winner here is Pat Fitzgerald as he will be embraced by the MSM Media and Democrats and he can get whatever Political Position he wants in a Democratic Administration and The Wilson Plame duet who were bit players in Washington DC and now get book and movie deals and are Celebrated beyond their wildest dreams1...
The big loser is the American People in their fight with Jihadist who want to kill Americans of all strips, Conservative and Liberal.

See this story America and figure it out.  We are cutting off our Noses to Spite are Face and we are like Soccer Players who score goals for the other team.  Al Qaeda is laughing at US!

Iraqi National cases LAX airport with a Magnet in his lower GI Tract(Rectum) connected to wires and he is set free by authorities because they do not want to get Libbied for Muslim Bigotry.  The Liberals are cutting off their Noses to Spite their Faces.  Score is America -2 and Jihadists 50+
Lord Help US!...

Scooter Libby and Patick Fitzgerald and a story that only Shakespeare could write....

Scooter Libby was prosecuted for the Valerie Plame outing which it turns out was not a crime! Attorney Victory Townsend authored this law and it is her opinion Plame did not meet the criteria for being a Secret Agent. This couple with the fact that and the Deputy Secretary of State Richard Arbitrage outed her first to Robert Novak and bob Woodward.  Why did Patrick Fitzgerald sink his teeth into Scooter Libby?  Hat tip to Michael Savage who alerted me to this story.  Scooter Libby was the Attorney hired by Marc Rich to get him off for a Tax Evasion indictment being prosecuted by Patrick Fitzgerald and Deputy Attorney General James Comey, who recommended Fitzgerald be appointed as the Special Counsel for the Plame outing.  Fitzgerald gives immunity to almost everybody else in the Bush Administration except for Karl Rove and Libby.  Wow!  This is a vendetta like from a Shakespeare Novel..

As it happens, Messrs. Fitzgerald and Libby had crossed legal paths before. Before he joined the Bush Administration, Mr. Libby had, for a number of years in the 1980s and 1990s, been a lawyer for Marc Rich. Mr. Rich is the oil trader and financier who fled to Switzerland in 1983, just ahead of his indictment for tax-evasion by the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York. Bill Clinton pardoned Mr. Rich in 2001, and so the feds never did get their man. The pardon so infuriated Justice lawyers who had worked on the case that the Southern District promptly launched an investigation into whether the pardon had been "proper." One former prosecutor we spoke to described the Rich case as "the single most rancorous case in the history of the Southern District."

Two of the prosecutors who worked on the Rich case over the years were none other than Mr. Fitzgerald and James Comey, who while Deputy Attorney General appointed Mr. Fitzgerald to investigate the Plame leak. Mr. Fitzgerald worked in the Southern District for five years starting in 1988, at the same time that Mr. Libby was developing a legal theory of Mr. Rich's innocence in a bid to get the charges dropped. The prosecutors never did accept the argument, but Leonard Garment, who brought Mr. Libby onto the case in 1985, says that he believes Mr. Libby's legal work helped set the stage for Mr. Rich's eventual pardon.

Very Interesting and boy Inside the Belt Way is a dangerous place to live and work!.....What a Story Rudy Giuliani was the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York working with Fitzgerald and Comey, Bill Clinton pardons Marc Rich in 2001 and Scotter Libby was his Lawyer.  Sounds like a complicated Greek Plot to me with lots of mean mean characters!....

Perjurers Libby and President Clinton same crime different Verdict!

Scooter Libby is found guilty of the same thing William Jefferson Clinton aka the "First Black President" Lying which is Perjury:

"The willful giving of false testimony under oath or affirmation, before a competent tribunal, upon a point material to a legal inquiry"

The Arkansas Supreme Court's Committee on Professional Conduct initially called for Clinton's disbarment in 2000, saying he lied about his affair with former White House intern Monica Lewinsky. Slick Willie was asked about Lewinsky during a January 1998 deposition in a sexual harassment suit brought by Paula Jones, a former Arkansas state employee. His attempt to conceal the affair while under oath led to his 1998 impeachment and 1999 subsequent acquittal by the Senate.

Don" believe me?   Here is the Info from noneother than the Clinton News Network

The committee recommended in May that Clinton's Arkansas law license be

withdrawn, in the wake of accusations he gave misleading testimony under

oath in the Paula Jones case.

That deposition, made January 17, 1998, became the basis of an

independent counsel investigation, and the president's impeachment.

The conduct of Mr. Clinton ... was motivated by a desire to protect himself

from the embarrassment of his own conduct," the Arkansas State Supreme

Court Committee on Professional Conduct declared in court papers.

Clinton has argued that his testimony about his relationship with Lewinsky

was "not false as he defines that term."

Acquittal at his impeachment trial did not end Clinton’s legal problems. In

April, Judge Wright held him in civil contempt of court for what she

described as his “false, misleading and evasive answers that were designed

to obstruct the judicial process” when he testified in the Jones case 15

months earlier; in July the judge assessed penalties of more than $90,000,

which Clinton agreed to pay.

On Jan. 19, 2001, the day before he left office, the president formally

acknowledged for the first time that he had knowingly given false testimony

before Judge Wright. The admission came as part of a deal under which

Clinton also accepted a 5-year suspension of his law license and agreed to

pay a $25,000 fine; in exchange, disbarment proceedings against him in

Arkansas were dropped, and Robert W. Ray (1960–    ), Starr’s successor

as Whitewater independent counsel, concluded his investigation without

taking further legal action against Clinton.

From CNN:

U.S. District Judge Susan Webber Wright found President Bill Clinton in civil contempt of court Monday for his "willful failure" to obey her repeated orders to testify truthfully in the Paula Jones sexual harassment lawsuit.

Wright has referred her ruling to the Arkansas Supreme Court to see if any disciplinary action should be taken, CNN has learned.

"Simply put, the president's deposition testimony regarding whether he had ever been alone with Ms. (Monica) Lewinsky was intentionally false and his statements regarding whether he had ever engaged in sexual relations with Ms. Lewinsky likewise were intentionally false," the judge wrote of Clinton's January 17, 1998 deposition.

Wright also ordered Clinton to pay Jones "any reasonable expenses including attorneys' fees caused by his willful failure to obey this court's discovery orders," directing Jones' lawyers to submit an accounting of their expenses and fees within 20 days.

She also ruled Clinton must reimburse to the court $1,202 for the judge's travel expenses. Wright traveled to Washington at Clinton's request to preside over what she now calls "his tainted deposition."

"The court takes no pleasure whatsoever in holding this nation's president in contempt of court," the 32-page opinion read.

Referring to the professional rule that states it is misconduct for a lawyer to engage in conduct involving "dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation," Wright also referred matter to the Arkansas Supreme Court's Committee on Professional Conduct to review Clinton's action and impose any disciplinary action it thinks is appropriate, including possible disbarment as a lawyer.

Wright said she "has concerns about the nature of the president's January 17, 1998, deposition" but "makes no findings at this time regarding whether the president may be in contempt."

In the deposition, Clinton said: "I have never had sexual relations with Monica Lewinsky." He acknowledged August 17 before a federal grand jury -- and again in a nationally televised address -- that he had an inappropriate relationship with Lewinsky.

However, he has said that the statements he made in the Jones deposition were "legally accurate."

Clinton testified to the grand jury that he might not have been paying attention when his lawyer told the judge about Lewinsky's affidavit in which she said there was no sex of any kind with Clinton.

Read all about X- President's Perjury dance and the cover he gets from "Judge Wright's finding Bill Clinton in Contempt".  Internfile Bill got a book deal for lying and Libby will get sent to Jail for the same thing the X-Pres got away with.

Ayaan Hirsi Ali says "Everyone is Afraid to Criticize Islam

Ayaan Hirsi Ali
Quote of the Decade

“I'm not intimidated by the threats and the attempts to make me shut my mouth, because living in a rich western European country like this one, I have protection that I otherwise would not have in Somalia or in Africa or in any other Islamic country. So I am going to make use of this huge opportunity - that I am protected and I can say what I want, that it gets published and spread, and that I am a voice in parliament for these [Muslim] women.” — Ayaan Hirsi Ali, moderate Dutch parliamentarian

Oh How I wish this kind of woman and her True Grit were celebrated by the Liberal Complex of News and Politics which dominates the Political and Print/Broadcast Media Complex...One can hope, right?  Too bad Nancy Pelosi, Rosie O'Donnell and Mrs. Bill Clinton will not woo this modern day Woman who spears up a contemporary Women's Suffrage which makes the Women/s Suffrage movement in America look as saccharin as a Mr. Rogers day in the Neighborhood episode.  Ayaan Hirsi Ali has more True Grit than Susan B. Anthony, Eleanor Roosevelt and Alice Paul combined.  If she is murdered she'll go down has a Muslim Joan of Arc.

From Der Spiegel Online English version

SPIEGEL INTERVIEW WITH AYAAN HIRSI ALI

'Everyone Is Afraid to Criticize Islam'

Ayaan Hirsi Ali, the Dutch politician forced to go into hiding after the murder of filmmaker Theo van Gogh, responds to the Danish cartoon scandal, arguing that if Europe doesn't stand up to extremists, a culture of self-censorship of criticism of Islam that pervades in Holland will spread in Europe. Auf Wiedersehen, free speech.
SPIEGEL:
Hirsi Ali, you have called the Prophet Muhammad a tyrant and a pervert. Theo van Gogh, the director of your film "Submission," which is critical of Islam, was murdered by Islamists. You yourself are under police protection. Can you understand how the Danish cartoonists feel at this point?
Hirsi Ali: "The cartoons should be displayed
everywhere."
Zoom
DPA
Hirsi Ali: "The cartoons should be displayed everywhere."
Hirsi Ali: They probably feel numb. On the one hand, a voice in their heads is encouraging them not to sell out their freedom of speech. At the same time, they're experiencing the shocking sensation of what it's like to lose your own personal freedom. One mustn't forget that they're part of the postwar generation, and that all they've experienced is peace and prosperity. And now they suddenly have to fight for their own human rights once again.
SPIEGEL: Why have the protests escalated to such an extent?
Hirsi Ali: There is no freedom of speech in those Arab countries where the demonstrations and public outrage are being staged. The reason many people flee to Europe from these places is precisely because they have criticized religion, the political establishment and society. Totalitarian Islamic regimes are in a deep crisis. Globalization means that they're exposed to considerable change, and they also fear the reformist forces developing among émigrés in the West. They'll use threatening gestures against the West, and the success they achieve with their threats, to intimidate these people.
Ayaan Hirsi Ali

is one of the most sharp- tongued critics of political Islam -- and a target of radical fanatics. Her provocative film "Submission" led to the assassination of director Theo van Gogh in November 2004. The attackers left a death threat against Hirsi Ali stuck to his corpse with a knife. After a brief period in hiding, the 36- year- old member of Dutch parliament from the neo- liberal VVD party has returned to parliament and is continuing her fight against Islamism. She recently published a book, "I Accuse," and is working on a sequel to "Submission."

Hirsi Ali was born in Somalia where she experienced the oppression of Muslim women first hand. When her father attempted to force her into an arranged marriage, she fled to Holland in 1992. Later, she renounced the Muslim religion.
SPIEGEL: Was apologizing for the cartoons the wrong thing to do?
Hirsi Ali: Once again, the West pursued the principle of turning first one cheek, then the other. In fact, it's already a tradition. In 1980, privately owned British broadcaster ITV aired a documentary about the stoning of a Saudi Arabian princess who had allegedly committed adultery. The government in Riyadh intervened and the British government issued an apology. We saw the same kowtowing response in 1987 when (Dutch comedian) Rudi Carrell derided (Iranian revolutionary leader) Ayatollah Khomeini in a comedy skit (that was aired on German television). In 2000, a play about the youngest wife of the Prophet Mohammed, titled "Aisha," was cancelled before it ever opened in Rotterdam. Then there was the van Gogh murder and now the cartoons. We are constantly apologizing, and we don't notice how much abuse we're taking. Meanwhile, the other side doesn't give an inch.
SPIEGEL: What should the appropriate European response look like?
Hirsi Ali: There should be solidarity. The cartoons should be displayed everywhere. After all, the Arabs can't boycott goods from every country. They're far too dependent on imports. And Scandinavian companies should be compensated for their losses. Freedom of speech should at least be worth that much to us.
SPIEGEL: But Muslims, like any religious community, should also be able to protect themselves against slander and insult.
Hirsi Ali: That's exactly the reflex I was just talking about: offering the other cheek. Not a day passes, in Europe and elsewhere, when radical imams aren't preaching hatred in their mosques. They call Jews and Christians inferior, and we say they're just exercising their freedom of speech. When will the Europeans realize that the Islamists don't allow their critics the same right? After the West prostrates itself, they'll be more than happy to say that Allah has made the infidels spineless.
SPIEGEL: What will be the upshot of the storm of protests against the cartoons?
Hirsi Ali: We could see the same thing happening that has happened in the Netherlands, where writers, journalists and artists have felt intimidated ever since the van Gogh murder. Everyone is afraid to criticize Islam. Significantly, "Submission" still isn't being shown in theaters.
SPIEGEL: Many have criticized the film as being too radical and too offensive.

AP
Police at the scene of Dutch filmmaker Theo van Gogh's murder.
Hirsi Ali: The criticism of van Gogh was legitimate. But when someone has to die for his world view, what he may have done wrong is no longer the issue. That's when we have to stand up for our basic rights. Otherwise we are just reinforcing the killer and conceding that there was a good reason to kill this person.
SPIEGEL: You too have been accused for your dogged criticism of Islam.
Hirsi Ali: Oddly enough, my critics never specify how far I can go. How can you address problems if you're not even allowed to clearly define them? Like the fact that Muslim women at home are kept locked up, are raped and are married off against their will -- and that in a country in which our far too passive intellectuals are so proud of their freedom!
SPIEGEL: The debate over speaking Dutch on the streets and the integration programs for potentially violent Moroccan youth -- do these things also represent the fruits of your provocations?
Hirsi Ali: The sharp criticism has finally triggered an open debate over our relationship with Muslim immigrants. We have become more conscious of things. For example, we are now classifying honor killings by the victims' countries of origin. And we're finally turning our attention to young girls who are sent against their wills from Morocco to Holland as brides, and adopting legislation to make this practice more difficult.
SPIEGEL: You're working on a sequel to "Submission." Will you stick to your uncompromising approach?
Hirsi Ali: Yes, of course. We want to continue the debate over the Koran's claim to absoluteness, the infallibility of the Prophet and sexual morality. In the first part, we portrayed a woman who speaks to her god, complaining that despite the fact that she has abided by his rules and subjugated herself, she is still being abused by her uncle. The second part deals with the dilemma into which the Muslim faith plunges four different men. One hates Jews, the second one is gay, the third is a bon vivant who wants to be a good Muslim but repeatedly succumbs to life's temptations, and the fourth is a martyr. They all feel abandoned by their god and decide to stop worshipping him.
SPIEGEL: Will recent events make it more difficult to screen the film?
Hirsi Ali: The conditions couldn't be more difficult. We're forced to produce the film under complete anonymity. Everyone involved in the film, from actors to technicians, will be unrecognizable. But we are determined to complete the project. The director didn't really like van Gogh, but he believes that, for the sake of free speech, shooting the sequel is critical. I'm optimistic that we'll be able to premier the film this year.
SPIEGEL: Is the Koran's claim to absoluteness, which you criticize in "Submission," the central obstacle to reforming Islam?
Hirsi Ali: The doctrine stating that the faith is inalterable because the Koran was dictated by God must be replaced. Muslims must realize that it was human beings who wrote the holy scriptures. After all, most Christians don't believe in hell, in the angels or in the earth having been created in six days. They now see these things as symbolic stories, but they still remain true to their faith.

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Mohammed Reza Taheri-azar is a Jihadist

Mohammed Taheri-azar in court(wiht his patented Jihadi Beard on March 5, 2007

During today's hearing, Mohammed Reza Taheri-azar yelled "death to America" as he entered the Orange County courtroom. "I hate all Americans," he said. "All Jews. May they all burn in hell. Death to Israel," yelled Taheri-azar.
  • Hear the Jihadist's Outburst in Court at his Hearing here

Mohammed Reza Taheri-azar was born on May 5, 1983 in Tehran, Iran and is now an American citizen who confessed to intentionally hitting people with a car on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to "avenge the deaths of Muslims worldwide" and to "punish" the United States government. Nine people were injured but he intended to kill them all.  He currently is on trial and is yelling about how he hates Americans and Jews.

Taheri-azar wrote, "I was aiming to follow in the footsteps of one of my role models, Mohammad Atta, one of the 9/11/01 hijackers, who obtained a doctorate degree."
From the News Observer
  • "I'm thankful you're here to give me this trial and to learn more about the will of Allah," he told the judge in court.
  • Taheri-azar grew up in the Charlotte area, attending public school for 13 years until he
  • UNC-CH senior Dave Van Atta, who shared a dormitory suite his freshman year with Taheri-azar, described him as a serious student, a hospital volunteer and a Muslim who became deeply committed to his religion relatively recently.
  • The two met up again for lunch in Durham last spring and talked about religion for two hours after Van Atta expressed his own atheism. "He was pretty devout," Van Atta recalled.
  • "It was as if he had just found religion," Van Atta said. Taheri-azar had studied the Quran, the Muslim holy book, and knew it well. "He was really at peace with himself when I talked with him last."
Hear his 911 call to in which he confesses he did this to "Punish the American Government for their Actions around the World"  he is lucid and coherent.
  • "I just hit several people with a vehicle," he told the dispatcher. "I don't have any weapons or anything on me; you can come and arrest me now."
Taheri-azar said he left the Jeep running but didn't want to get back in because he didn't want police to think he was trying to run away.
In his call, Taheri-azar said he left an explanation for his actions in a one-page letter on his bed.
"Really, it's to punish the government of the United States for their actions around the world," he told the dispatcher.

If Paul Revere was alive today he would be sounding the Alarm but today he would be yelling "The Jihadists are here!"  Of course his lawyers are saying he is "Mentally Ill....."  RIGHT?

Mohammed Reza Taheri is a Sudden Jihad Syndrome Terrorist ( a phenomenon coined by Daniel Pipes which describes law-abiding Muslims abruptly become violent and Hell bent on killing Americans). This man from a middle class immigrant Iranian family and a straight A student who majored in Psychology and Philosophy attempted to murder as many Americans as he could.  Taheri's parents were working for the U.S. government in Afghanistan helping fight the war on terror per News reports at the time of the attempted murders.

Liberal Americans wake up!  Conservative Americans are not your Enemy!....Time and again this is happening in our Country.  Blaming our system of Government and its actions is such a delusion....and is exactly what the Bin Ladens of the world want us to do!

VIP Cheney has a DVT, no Problem he'll be fine!

I just heard that the President has Deep Vein Thrombosis of the the Left Lower Extremity.  The travel is the reason as all the sedentary activity cause s venous blood to pool and then clot.  No sweat as he was placed on Coumadin, a blood thinner.  This is a very common problem as a long as it is in the lower extremity at a distance site(i.e.calf)  it will not cause a problem.  David Bloom died of this but he had a massive clot in the thigh veins(very dangerous because of the large size) that broke off and clogged his Pulmonary Arteries and essentially smothered him causing death by Asphyxia.  This will not be the case with the VIP.  The liberal left will send there get well wishes I'm sure as they salivate at the prospects of his demise.  The commodity that Senator Tim Johnson got from Conservatives will not be reciprocated.

Conservative and Liberal Americans should be on the SAME SIDE!.....

Infidel
All Americans and my readers who believe I am an an "F---ing Moron" or "Stupid" a "Racist" stoop to the lowest common denominator of the name calling, gutter tongued and segue to ad hominem attacks because they do not like the message of the Messenger.  I am a realist and document everything from an historical perspective and try and source all my comments with news reports and well respected opinion journalists.  I am a proud Conservative American who respectfully disagrees with the Liberals' position on issues but do not wish them harm and will not insult them by attacking them personally.  Liberal Americans are not my enemy and I do not want Democrat leaders to be targeted by Terrorists or Assassins.  That Liberals would even joke(at least I hope they were joking) about Vice President Cheney's assasination attempt is truly disheartening.
The Enemy that wants to cut the throats of Infidel Americans and Westerners is described by a Muslim Woman,Ayaan Hirsi Ali, from Somalia who lives in fear for her life.  Liberals should consider this Enemy for their ruthlessness, savagery and kamikaze like fanaticism especially when they claim to be the Champions of Women's rights and equality with Men.......

INFIDEL
By Ayaan Hirsi Ali

"I am Ayaan, the daughter of Hirsi, the son of Magan."
In the first scene of Infidel, Ayaan Hirsi Ali is a child of 5, sitting on a grass mat. Her grandmother is teaching her to recite the names of her ancestors, as all Somali children must learn to do. "Get it right," her grandmother warns. "They are your bloodline. . . . If you dishonor them you will be forsaken. You will be nothing. You will lead a wretched life and die alone."
Thus begins the extraordinary story of a woman born into a family of desert nomads, circumcised as a child, educated by radical imams in Kenya and Saudi Arabia, taught to believe that if she uncovered her hair, terrible tragedies would ensue. It's a story that, with a few different twists, really could have led to a wretched life and a lonely death, as her grandmother warned. But instead, Hirsi Ali escaped -- and transformed herself into an internationally renowned spokeswoman for the rights of Muslim women.
The break began when she slipped away from her family on her way to a forced marriage in Canada and talked her way into political asylum in Holland, using a story she herself calls "an invention." Soon after arriving, she removed her head scarf to see if God would strike her dead. He did not. Nor were there divine consequences when, defying her ancestors, she donned blue jeans, rode a bicycle, enrolled in university, became a Dutch citizen, began to speak publicly about the mistreatment of Muslim women in Holland and won election to the Dutch parliament.
But tragedy followed fame. In 2004, Hirsi Ali helped a Dutch director, Theo van Gogh, make a controversial film, "Submission," about Muslim women suffering from forced marriages and wife beating. Van Gogh was murdered by an angry Muslim radical in response, and Hirsi Ali went into hiding. The press began to explore her past, discovering the "inventions" that she had used to get her refugee status. The Dutch threatened to revoke her citizenship; the American Enterprise Institute offered her a job in Washington. And thus she came to be among us.
Even the bare facts of this unusual life would make fascinating reading. But this book is something more than an ordinary autobiography: In the tradition of Frederick Douglass or even John Stuart Mill, Infidel describes a unique intellectual journey, from the tribal customs of Hirsi Ali's Somali childhood, through the harsh fundamentalism of Saudi Arabia and into the contemporary West. Along the way, Hirsi Ali displays what surely must be her greatest gift: the talent for recalling, describing and honestly analyzing the precise state of her feelings at each stage of that journey.
She describes how she felt as a teenager, voluntarily wearing a hijab, a black cloak that hid her body: "It sent out a message of superiority: I was the one true Muslim. All those other little girls with their little white headscarves were children, hypocrites." She writes of meeting her husband-to-be's family: "I concentrated on behaving properly: Speaking softly, being polite, avoiding shame to my parents. I felt empty."
She also describes how horrified she felt as an adult after Sept. 11, 2001, reaching for the Koran to find out whether some of Osama bin Laden's more blood-curdling statements -- "when you meet the unbelievers, strike them in the neck" -- were direct quotations. "I hated to do it," she wrote, "because I knew that I would find bin Laden's quotations in there." And there were consequences: "The little shutter at the back of my mind, where I pushed all my dissonant thoughts, snapped open after the 9/11 attacks, and it refused to close again. I found myself thinking that the Quran is not a holy document. It is a historical record, written by humans. . . . And it is a very tribal and Arab version of events. It spreads a culture that is brutal, bigoted, fixated on controlling women, and harsh in war."
That moment led Hirsi Ali to her most profound conclusion: that the mistreatment of women is not an incidental problem in the Muslim world, a side issue that can be dealt with once the more important political problems are out of the way. Rather, she believes that the enslavement of women lies at the heart of all of the most fanatical interpretations of Islam, creating "a culture that generates more backwardness with every generation."
Ultimately, it led to her most controversial conclusion too: that Islam is in a period of transition, that the religion as it is currently practiced is often incompatible with modernity and democracy and must radically transform itself in order to become so. "We in the West," she writes, "would be wrong to prolong the pain of that transition unnecessarily, by elevating cultures full of bigotry and hatred toward women to the stature of respectable alternative ways of life." That sentiment, when first expressed in Holland, infuriated not only Hirsi Ali's compatriots but also Dutch intellectuals uneasy about criticizing the immigrants in their midst, particularly because both Hirsi Ali and Theo van Gogh went further than the usual criticism of radical, political Islam: Both believed that even "ordinary" forms of Islam, such as those practiced in Hirsi Ali's Somalia, contain elements of discrimination against women that should not be tolerated in the West. Thanks to this belief in female equality, Hirsi Ali now requires permanent bodyguards. But having "moved from the world of faith to the world of reason," Hirsi Ali now says she cannot go back.
Still, she describes herself as lucky: "How many girls born in Digfeer Hospital in Mogadishu in November 1969 are even alive today?" she asks rhetorically. "And how many have a real voice?" To that, it's worth adding another question: How many women with Hirsi Ali's experience of radical Islam have emerged to tell their stories? And how many can do so with such clarity and insight? Infidel is a unique book, Ayaan Hirsi Ali is a unique writer, and both deserve to go far. ·

Pieta the other ones are my favorite Art

The famous later Pieta aka The Deposition (also called the Florentine Pietà or The Lamentation over the Dead Christ) in the Vatican is marble poetry as well. It is more realistic than the Neoclassical first one and gives an impression of stillness. I like this one better, with its dynamic and sinuous composition, and its Immense DRAMA....
The figure of Mary on the right is incomplete. Why didn't a he finish her and make her so beautiful like he did in the first Pieta? It was propbaly deliberately unfinished because Mary was so conflicted and wounded but so faithful and trusting. Many say it was a deliberate aesthetic choice but I think it was a Theological Choice....Consider the uncfinished work of Christ...his Mystical Body...as St. Paul says I make up what is lacking in the sufferings of Christ. Mysterious words from St. Paul don't you think? Perhaps that is where the Roman Catholic tradition to offer up our sufferings up to the Cross of Christ...
Pieta from the Side
Also having and almost ineffible quality is the Rondanini Pieta
Rondanini Pietà is a marble sculpture that Michelangelo worked on from the 1550s until the last weeks of his life, in 1564. It is housed in the Castello Sforzesco in Milan. His final sculpture, the Rondanini Pietà revisited the theme of the Virgin Mary mourning over the body of the dead Christ, which he had first explored in his Pietà of 1499. Like his late series of drawings of the Crucifixion and the sculpture of the Deposition of Christ intended for his own tomb, it was produced at a time when Michelangelo's sense of his own mortality (and with it his spirituality) was growing
