1 more Bishop to Catholics Abortion #1 Issue!

Missouri is a Battleground State where McCain and 0bama are currently tied and has 11 electoral votes while Kansas has 6 electoral votes!  In both States 20% of the Population is Roman Catholic.  1.1 million Catholics in Missouri and 500,000 in Kansas.
Abortion is the fundamental issue for Catholics in the presidential campaign, said Archbishop Joseph Naumann, of the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas(satellite city to Kansas City, Missouri), in a visit Tuesday night to Kansas University’s Dole Institute of Politics.
    • Naumann said this election was part of a battle for the soul of our society, and warned that bowing to pressure from pro-abortion or pro-gay marriage groups could lead down the road to totalitarianism, because democracy could “(devolve) into the will of the majority trampling on the rights of the” minority.

“If liberty becomes distracted from truth, it leaves society vulnerable to totalitarianism,” he said. “Remember, Hitler was elected.”

Naumann’s speech left many audience members inspired.

Archbishop Joseph Naumann, said other problems facing the United States today, including the war in Iraq, should be considered less important than the right to life.

  •  "The church in the United States always cherished its rights and its responsibility to form the moral (conscience) of the country,” he said during his visit at University of Kansas' Dole Institute of Politics.
  • Naumann did not endorse a specific candidate however.
  • Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama is an abortion supporter......

Surgeon General 4 Catholics 0bama will kill your SOUL!

Surgeon General to Catholics, 0bama - will kill your SOUL! We know all know about the Surgeon General report on tobacco…. and we’ve all met the Industry’s Poster Child…..Now met the Post child of the Soul… why?..read on..

enlarged
Everybody in the United States of America knows that smoking cigarettes is bad for your health yet Americans ignore this fact and smoke to the tune of 69,349,738 as of 2005.  Even though the number of smokers has been cut in half in the 24 years since the US Surgeon General declared publicly and on the packs of cigarettes that Smoking will kill you, people still engage in this Politically Incorrect activity including "The One"  Barack H. 0bama.  Well, like the cigarettes he smokes a President 0bama is Hazardous for all Americans and in particular Catholics Americans 0bama supports who cooperate with the "Intrinsic Evil" Your Body on Nicotine: The Inside Storyof his Abortion always and forever platform because he is the most Radical Abortionist Presidential candidate in history even more so than the National Abortion Right Association League(the National Association for the Repeal of Abortion Laws, then after Roe v. Wade it changed its name to National Abortion Rights Action League, then to National Abortion & Reproductive Rights Action League): who unlike 0bama was not against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act:Consistent with our position last year, NARAL does not oppose passage of the Born Alive Infants Protection Act ... floor debate served to clarify the bill’s intent and assure us that it is not targeted at Roe v. Wade or a woman’s right to choose.”
  • In 1964, the U.S. Surgeon General formally announced the health risks of tobacco, thereby providing the impetus for one of the most intensive public health interventions in the history of the United States. Spanning several decades, the tobacco control movement has developed an increasingly effective series of social programs and policies designed to encourage nonsmoking and protect nonsmokers from environmental tobacco smoke. In the years following the initiation of the tobacco control movement, the percentage of current cigarette smokers in the American adult population has decreased dramatically from 42.2 percent in 1965 to 22.7 percent in 1999. This decrease translates into about 40 million fewer adult smokers in the United States today than had the rate remained at 42.2 percent. As the Office of Smoking and Health of the CDC notes, “This achievement has few parallels in the history of public health. It was accomplished despite the addictive nature of tobacco and the powerful economic forces promoting its use.”

For Catholic Voters let this Notice service as a Public Service Announcement from the Roman Catholic Surgeon General of the Catholic Soul......0bama is Hazardous to your Soul and to your Real Estate in Eternity!  Why?:
  1. The First he promised to do is Pass the Freedom of Choice Act!
    • Bishop Robert Finn of Kansas City, Mo. has issued a pastoral warning to his flock that the proposed Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) would "immediately make null and void every current restriction on abortion in all jurisdictions." The federal legislation, introduced in April 2007, would, the bishop warns, "unleash - on a national level - a complete and unrestricted access to abortion."

A leading US pro-abortion organisation agrees with the bishop's assessment. The National Organization of Women (NOW) said that FOCA "would sweep away hundreds of anti-abortion laws, policies." Planned Parenthood also agreed, saying, "The legislation (FOCA) would invalidate existing and future laws that interfere with or discriminate against the exercise of the [abortion] rights protected. It also would provide an individual aggrieved by a violation of the act a private right of civil action in order to obtain appropriate relief."

When Senator Barack Obama addressed a Planned Parenthood event on July 17, 2007, he said, "The first thing I will do as President is sign the Freedom of Choice Act."

Bishop Finn, while not mentioning Senator Obama's name, wrote, "When a candidate ...  promises to promote - or to 'sign immediately upon taking office' - the Freedom of Choice Act, Catholics and all people of good will have cause to question the sincerity of the candidate's determination to reduce abortions." Bishop Finn noted that the abortion rate has been falling amongst teens, suggesting that this is due to "these already existing limits" that "have caused a decrease of more than 100,000 abortions each year."

FOCA would eliminate conscience protection for physicians, he said, and would require states to fund abortions.

The bill reads, "A government may not (1) deny or interfere with a woman's right to choose - (A) to bear a child; (B) to terminate a pregnancy prior to viability; or (C) to terminate a pregnancy after viability where termination is necessary to protect the life or health of the woman; or (2) discriminate against the exercise of the rights set forth in paragraph (1) in the regulation or provision of benefits, facilities, services, or information.

"This act applies to every Federal, State, and local statute, ordinance, regulation, administrative order, decision, penalty, practice, or other action enacted, adopted, or implemented before or after the date of enactment of this act."

FOCA at a stroke would reverse many of the gains won by the pro-life movement in the US in the last twenty years. It would overturn state abortion reporting requirements in all 50 states; forty-four states' laws concerning parental involvement; forty states' laws on restricting later-term abortions; forty-six states' conscience protection laws for individual health care providers; twenty-seven states' conscience protection laws for institutions; thirty-eight states' bans on partial-birth abortions; thirty-three states' laws on requiring counselling before an abortion; and sixteen states' laws concerning ultrasounds before an abortion.

Bishop Finn said that while it may be permissible to vote for a candidate "in spite of" his support for abortion, "it seems we are morally obliged to establish a proportionate reason sufficient to justify the destruction of 45 million human persons through abortion."

If a candidate, however, "pledges - through an instrument such as FOCA - to eliminate all existing limitations against abortion, it is that much more doubtful whether voting for him or her can ever be morally justified under any circumstance," Bishop Finn concluded.

I find it interesting that the number of Americans who ignore the facts about smoking is 69,349,738 as of 2005 and the number of American Catholics is ~70 million and many live in the battleground states of Ohio, Florida, Minnesota, Virginia, Colorado, Pennsylvania and New Mexico.  American Catholics listen to your Guardian Angels, Jesus in the Eucharist, Jesus in your Hearts and your BISHOPS do not support the 0bama, "The One" who is "The One" Presidential Candidate who is the most radical supporter ever of ABORTION an Intrinsically EVIL Act.  Per Philly's Cardinal Rigali 2 days ago on Friday 10/24/08: "God Thunders 'This is a Child"!

New Ticker Tape for Catholics in Battleground States!

I propose to serve as a Ticker Tape(see below) for the Catholic Battleground States and update my blog with the Latest Breaking news on the Issue of Life in these contested states and link to the story.  The USA has ~70 million Catholics and the Roman Catholic Bishops unanimity on the Issue of Life and its willingness to be outspoken is unprecedented in the History of the United States.  So vocal have they been that the anti-Christian and especially anti-Catholic group, Americans United for Separation of Church and State and its leader Barry Lynn(who is an ordained Reverend of the United Church of Christ) aka another Wolf in Sheep's Clothing.  "Catholic for Obama" are funded by George Soros.  They are truly X-Catholics  for Obama, who may get excommunicated when the Roman Catholic Bishops meet for the Assembly in November. In order to be Catholic you must Oppose ABORTIONS period!

From Wikipedia
In its first years a main focus of Americans United for Separation of Church & State's activity was opposition to the political agenda of the Roman Catholic Church and it was seen by critics as an anti-Catholic organization. [4] In 1960 AU Executive Director Glenn L. Archer entered into a dialog with presidential candidate John F. Kennedy to assess his views on church-state relations. In a letter to Archer, Kennedy assured him of his support for the First Amendment. Kennedy later responded to concerns about his faith in his famous speech before the Greater Houston Ministerial Association, delivered September 12, 1960 at the Rice Hotel in Houston Texas.

Lepanto a model 4 Battleground Catholic States 4 Life!

As you know God forces no one he only knocks on the door because of our Free Will.  I think that it is up to the Roman Catholic US population of ~70 million to vote for Life which trumps all issues by galaxies!  But what Hugh Hewitt brought to the fore with the IBD poll reminds me of the 16th century Naval Battle of Lepanto anniversary October 7, 1571 see Roman Catholic Blog With Quarterback of New Media for Life, Hugh Hewitt, I hope to get other Catholic Bloggers, Knights of Columbus(BTW I heard a their Pro-Life vote ad on KNUS steam during the Hugh Hewitt show yesterday), EWTN and Catholic Bloggers to saturate Catholics so they hopefully will vote the correct way.  Regardless of the result the Good Lord knows that all of you are Knights of the Heavenly Realm!
Background from Wiki: Coalition put together when a galley fleet of the Holy League, a coalition of the Republic of Venice, the Papacy (under Pope Pius V), Spain (including Naples, Sicily and Sardinia), the Republic of Genoa, the Duchy of Savoy, the Knights Hospitaller and others, decisively defeated the main fleet of Ottoman war galleys led by Don Juan of Austria, the illegitimate son of Emperor Charles V and half brother of King Philip II of Spain. Vessels had been contributed by the various Christian states: 109 galleys and 6 galleasses from Venice, 80 galleys from Spain and Naples/Sicily, 12 Tuscan galleys hired by the Papal States, 3 galleys each from Genoa, Malta, and Savoy, and some privately owned galleys. All members of the alliance viewed the Turkish navy as a significant threat, both to the security of maritime trade in the Mediterranean Sea and to the security of continental Europe itself. The various Christian contingents met the main force, that of Venice (under Venier), in July and August 1571 at Messina, Sicily. Don Juan de Austria arrived on 23 August.
This fleet of the Christian alliance was manned by 12,920 sailors. In addition, it carried almost 28,000 fighting troops: 10,000 Spanish regular infantry of excellent quality, 7,000 German and 6,000 Italian mercenary, and 5,000 Venetian soldiers. Also, Venetian oarsmen were mainly free citizens and were able to bear arms adding to the fighting power of their ship, whereas slaves and convicts were used to row many of the galleys in other Holy League squadrons. The Turkish fleet's galleys were also rowed by slaves, many of them Christians that had been captured in previous conquests and engagements.[4] Free oarsmen were generally acknowledged to be superior by all combatants, but were gradually replaced in all galley fleets (including those of Venice from 1549) during the 16th century by cheaper slaves, convicts and prisoners-of-war owing to rapidly rising costs.[5]
The Ottoman galleys were manned by 13,000 sailors and 34,000 soldiers. Ali Pasha (Turkish: "Kaptan-i Derya Ali Pasa"), supported by the corsairs Chulouk Bey of Alexandria and Uluj Ali (Ulich Ali), commanded an Ottoman force of 222 war galleys, 56 galliots, and some smaller vessels. The Turks had skilled and experienced crews of sailors, but were somewhat deficient in their elite corps of Janissaries.

The Battle of Lepanto

From EWTN  Our Lady's role from Old Powder Tracks Blog post 5/2006
  • "The Battle of Lepanto was at first celebrated liturgically as "Our Lady of Victory." Later, the feast of October 7th was renamed "Our Lady of the Rosary" and extended throughout the Universal Church by Pope Clement XI in 1716 (who canonized Pope Pius V in 1712).

  • Knowing that the Christian forces were at a distinct material disadvantage, the holy pontiff, St. Pope Pius V called for all of Europe to pray the Rosary for victory. We know today that the victory was decisive, prevented the Islamic invasion of Europe, and evidenced the Hand of God working through Our Lady. At the hour of victory, St. Pope Pius V, who was hundreds of miles away at the Vatican, is said to have gotten up from a meeting, went over to a window, and exclaimed with supernatural radiance: "The Christian fleet is victorious!" and shed tears of thanksgiving to God.

  • And with that we are back to Fatima, Portugal where Our Lady, when asked her name, said: "I am the Lady of the Rosary." At Fatima, Our Lady taught us to pray the Rosary every day. Heaven presented its peace plan at Fatima and truly gave us hope for the world. Conversions were promised at Fatima: the conversion of sinners; the conversion of Russia; and what also appears to be the conversion of Islam. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us!"

    • What you may not know is that one of three admirals commanding the Catholic forces at Lepanto was Andrea Doria. He carried a small copy of Mexico's Our Lady of Guadalupe into battle. This image is now enshrined in the Church of San Stefano in Aveto, Italy. Not many know that at the Monastery of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Spain, one can view a huge warship lantern that was captured from the Moslems in the Battle of Lepanto. In Rome, look up to the ceiling of S. Maria in Aracoeli and behold decorations in gold taken from the Turkish galleys. In the Doges' Palace in Venice, Italy, one can witness a giant Islamic flag that is now a trophy from a vanquished Turkish ship from the Victory. At Saint Mary Major Basilica in Rome, close to the tomb of the great St. Pope Pius V, one was once able to view yet another Islamic flag from the Battle, until 1965, when it was returned to Istanbul in an intended friendly token of concord.

  • On October 7, 1571, a great victory over the mighty Turkish fleet was won by Catholic naval forces primarily from Spain, Venice, and Genoa under the command of Don Juan of Austria. It was the last battle at sea between "oared" ships, which featured the most powerful navy in the world, a Moslem force with between 12,000 to 15,000 Christian slaves as rowers. The patchwork team of Catholic ships was powered by the Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Knowing that the Christian forces were at a distinct material disadvantage, the holy pontiff, St.

Battleground Wis. Bishop on Cafeteria Catholics like Joe B!

Wisconsin is another Battle-Ground State where Roman Catholics make up 29% of the population and are ~1.6 million strong!  Bishop Morlino had a coronary after VP Plugs Joe Biden was on MTP. The rebuke of Biden by Madison's Prelate Morlino who scrapped his homily after Plug Head's MTP blunder railing on Cafeteria Catholics like Joe! See here:

  • Bishop Robert C. Morlino of Madison, Wisconsin, Archbishop Charles J. Chaput and Auxiliary Bishop James D. Conley of Denver have reacted to Senator Joseph Biden's remarks on NBC's Meet The Press, criticizing him for confusing the differences between faith and natural law and for flawed moral reasoning.
  • After watching Biden's appearance on Meet the Press, Bishop Morlino at the last minute set aside his prepared homily on Sunday and instead addressed the Senator and Speaker Nancy Pelosi's fallacious remarks about Church teaching on abortion.
  • Senator Biden, noted the Bishop, doesn't understand the difference between "religious faith and natural law."
  • "Any human being, regardless of his faith, his religious practice or having no faith, any human being can reason to the fact that human life from conception unto natural death is sacred," Bishop Morlino argued. "Biology, not faith, not philosophy, not any kind of theology - Biology tells us, science [says], that at the moment of conception there exists a unique individual of the human species."
  • "It's not a matter of what I might believe. What my faith might teach me," he said. "Sen. Biden has an obligation to know that. And he doesn't know it."
  • Bishop Morlino then criticized politicians for confusing the Catholic faithful by making false, inaccurate or misleading public statements.
  • "They're supposed to believe in separation of church and state. They're violating the separation of church and state by confusing people about what I have an obligation to teach," he charged.
  • "Prominent Catholics should not be violating the separation of church and state" by "teaching the wrong thing", but Pelosi and Biden, in their lack of knowledge and understanding, were "doing precisely that," the Bishop said.
  • "They themselves were confused after the Council and I don't blame them for that. Bishops allowed it, theologians did it, some priests did it, and in Canada even some bishops did it."
  • Bishop Morlino concluded by encouraging his listeners to make sure they themselves really understood what the Catholic faith teaches, through the Pope and the bishops, and to offer correction to those who were confused or in error "with love," because otherwise "we will be lost too."
  • Click here to listen to Bishop Morlino's 15 minute sermon

Readers Thank You from the bottom of my heart again for your help as well Hugh Hewitt's help in getting the word out to Catholics who could swing the Elelction to McCain/Palin if they vote according to their Catholic Life affirming Fait which Trumps all other issues! Vivat Jesu

In PA. ABORTION "Transcending issue of our Day!"

Pennslyvania is a swing state that is in play and is 27% Roman Catholic ~3,315,900 strong.  Yesterday after just having released a Pro-Life Statement from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops(which he Chairs) Justin Cardinal Rigali, Archbishop of Philadelphia, in a Pastoral Letter stated abortion the “transcending issue of our day.”

 From Life Site News

  • In his most recent letter Cardinal Rigali drives home the point that the grave immortality of abortion is not a revealed truth known only to Christians, but rather a truth that is universally accessible to all, regardless of religious background. Because the dignity of human life is written on the human heart, he says, “no one … most especially, no Catholic, can ever say: ‘I did not know [abortion is evil]’.”
  • But despite this fact, he laments, America nevertheless supports abortion in its “most extreme and horrific forms.”
  • For this reason Cardinal Rigali warns that while a Catholic “owes loyalty to the communities of which he is a part,” this loyalty must be subject to a higher law - the natural and revealed laws of moral conduct. Throughout history governments have sanctioned grave evils, such as the Holocaust, slavery, and racial segregation, a fact that proves that governments cannot necessarily be depended upon to protect the dignity of the human person.
  • Like these intrinsic evils, the bishop states unequivocally, abortion cannot ever be condoned, even in circumstances where it has been made acceptable or "legal."
  • Cardinal Rigali writes: “The transcending issue of our day is the intentional destruction of innocent human life, as in abortion. We wish with all our hearts that no candidate and no party were advocating this heinous act against the human person. However, since it is a transcending issue, and even supported in its most extreme and horrific forms, we must proclaim time and time again that no intrinsic evil can ever be supported in any way, most especially when it concerns the gravest of all intrinsic evils: the taking of an innocent life.”
  • If the right to life is not defended as paramount, the Cardinal says, the cry for all other “rights” crumbles, rendered “illusory”: “Above all, the common outcry, which is justly made on behalf of human rights — for example, the right to health, to home, to work, to family, to culture — is false and illusory if the right to life, the most basic and fundamental right and the condition for all other personal rights, is not defended with maximum determination.”
  • Like those Catholics who risked their lives to end the atrocities of slavery, racial segregation, and the holocaust, today’s Catholics, he adjures, must be willing to respond “with the same generosity of body and heart, and the same courage.”
  • “When by the most barbaric means, unworthy of any civilized people, the brain of a child is sucked out of his or her head by a vacuum, God thunders: ‘This is a child!’”
  • “When a baby is left to die of exposure on a shelf because of a failed abortion, and this is considered a ‘right’ by any leader, God, the Source of all law and authority, thunders: ‘This is a child!’”
  • Cardinal Rigali’s pastoral letter can be found here: http://cst-phl.com/

Swing State Misouri's Bishops Call 4 Vote of Life!

From EWTNMisouri Bishops call to Catholics to Vote Life above all else yesterday!
  • Given this political climate, Bishop Finn, along with the other Bishops of Missouri is calling on all the faithful to make the last week before the election “a week of prayer for our nation - a week of prayer for the protection of Human Life.”
  • Invoking the intercession of Our Lady of the Rosary, Bishop Finn asks her to “watch over our country and bring us the victory of life.” The bishop of Kansas City-St. Joseph also turns to the Guardian Angels for their intercession on behalf of the 47 million babies lost through abortion in our country in the last thirty-five years.
  • “This horrendous loss of life remains one of the greatest threats to human civilization we have ever faced,” he writes.
  • “This week,” Bishop Finn exhorts his flock, “please pray and make some sacrifices for our country. I ask every parish to provide some additional opportunity for prayer in the church: an evening Mass, or rosary, or time of adoration before the Blessed Sacrament. Say the rosary as individuals or as a family, or even simply a decade each night with your children. Say the election prayer. Give up meat, or do without some convenience this week. Make a good Act of Contrition and get to Confession. Offer a worthy Communion.”
  • Bishop Finn closes his column by announcing that he will preside over an Eve of the Election Mass at St. Therese Parish, North at 7:00 p.m. on November 3.

Catholics in Misouri number 1,119,942 or 20%....

  • Remember former Archbishop Raymond Burke of St. Louis said leading Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry, a Massachusetts senator, would be refused communion because of his views in support of abortion. Archbishop Raymond Burke said, over the weekend, that he would offer the politician a blessing rather than giving him full communion.
  •  On June 27, 2008 The Vatican announced that the Holy Father had appointed Archbishop Raymond Burke to the prestigious position of Prefect of the Apostolic Signatura in Rome.
  • He is the Chief Justice of the CC's Supreme Tribunal, which ensures that justice is correctly administered.  Also known as the Church’s Supreme Court!

As Archbishop Burke leaves the St. Louis diocese, he is praised by North America's pro-life leaders as one of the most staunch and courageous defenders of the culture of life that his country has ever seen.

  • On Sept 30. 2008 Archbishop Burke warned that the Democrat  party is “at risk of becoming the ‘Death Party,’ due to its positions on bioethical questions as Ramesh Ponnuru wrote in his book, ‘The Party of Death: The Democrats, the Media, the Courts and the Disregard for Human Life’.”

  • “Mine is not an isolated position. It is shared by Archbishop Charles J. Chaput from Denver, by Bishop Peter J. Jugis from Charlotte and a few others,” he answered, while noting that the bishops' conference has not "assumed this position, leaving each bishop free to make his own decision.”

  • He continued, “I have always maintained that there must be a united position in order to demonstrate the unity of the Church when facing this serious issue.”

  • Though a united decision has not been made, the archbishop noted: “Recently, I have noticed that other bishops are coming to this position” after statements from Pelosi and Biden.  Though both have stated that they are “good Catholics, they have represented the Church teaching on abortion in a false and tendentious way.”

  • This same theme was touched upon by then-Cardinal Ratzinger in 2004 in a letter to the American bishops, Burke noted.

  • The Holy Father made it clear that “it is not licit to give Holy Communion to one who is publicly and commonly in a sinful state.  In this sense, it is logical that one who publicly an commonly supports abortion falls into this category.”

Reuters worried about Catholic Vote in OH. & Fl.

From Reuters TODAY! I knew IT!
October 22nd, 2008
Posted by: Ed Stoddard
DALLAS - Catholics for Obama has just launched a web site as the Nov. 4 White House race between Democrat Barack Obama and Republican John McCain enters its final laps.
The candidate
Catholics, who account for close to a quarter of the U.S. adult population, comprise a key religious group that both sides have tried to woo. In closely contested swing states such as Ohio or Florida the Catholic vote could make a difference.
The web site is sure to stoke controversy in Catholic circles with this statement: "Is Barack Obama really pro-life? The answer is 'yes.' Looking through the lens of Catholic Social Teaching, Senator Obama has spent his entire career striving for the common good. He supports health care programs that will cover all Americans, a living wage for working families, and solutions that allow distressed families to stay in their homes."
It goes on to say that Obama, a strong advocate like his party of abortion rights, will reduce the number of abortions by promoting health care for pregnant women and infant care.
Abortion is one of the most polarizing issues in America and official Catholic doctrine on the matter is clear: the church regards it as murder.
Archbishop Raymond Burke, a senior American in the Vatican, recently said the Democratic Party risked "transforming itself definitively into a 'party of death'" because of its choices on bioethical questions and abortion.
Echoing several U.S. bishops, Burke accused the Democratic Party's most high-profile Catholics — vice presidential candidate Joe Biden and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi — of misrepresenting Church teaching on abortion

Hugh Hewitt New Media Quarterback for Christians!

Did you hear Laura today on the ProLife issues? Wow, huba huba! Here is More synergy with yesterday's UC Catholic Bishops Pro-Life statement position from Dr. Dobson  My brother is a Knight of Columbus 1.28 million strong in the USA and here is their recent statement & here is their rebuke of Biden.  Hopefully his Knights of Columbus will be getting Catholic Battleground/Electoral College battleground map/strategy to the Supreme Knight to see if they can help in the Battle ground states.  I'd like to see if EWTN will help and hoping Raymond Arroyo will be the point guard on that front.  Fantastic Catholic Blogger American Papist is another great resource for Catholics and other Chistian Denominations.

We need a New Media Quarterback and Hugh Hewitt has stepped up to take the snap....I hope he'll have  Arbp Chaput on to help in Colorado.  The US Catholic Church has its shotgun Offensive for the first time in history on Abortion. I'm a little blog in God's Hands!
Supreme Knight of Columbus Calls for Real "Change" on Abortion and Catholic Revolt against Obama Nation
"It's time we stop accommodating pro-abortion politicians, and it's time we start demanding that they accommodate us.":
  • Dr. Dobson. while feeling that the Republican platform does not perfectly mirror traditional values, says that it "comes closest to embracing" them.
The famous family psychologist highlighted the gravity of what he believes is at stake in the upcoming election:
    •  "Between 2009 and 2012, there will likely be two or more opportunities for the President to nominate new justices to the Supreme Court. ... The highest court in the land could become stacked - even more than it already is - with justices who will … impose a liberal agenda on the nation. It will likely affect the de?nition of marriage, religious freedom, and the protection (or lack thereof) of life in the womb."
    • Dobson lists four specific reasons for his readers to vote for John McCain rather than Barack Obama, beginning with Senator Obama's performance during the "Saddleback Forum."
      1. When asked when a baby gets human rights, the Democratic candidate infamously said, "Answering that question with specificity, you know, is, uh, is, above my pay grade."
      1. "With all due respect, Senator, if this question is above your pay grade, then so is the job attached to it," writes Dr. Dobson. Dr. Dobson says Senator McCain gave "very solid and encouraging answers" to questions about both abortion and marriage.
      2. The Republican Party's platform this year, he tells us, "is the strongest pro-life platform in the history of the party, surpassing even the pro-life advances of the Reagan years."
      3. Then, observes Dobson, Senator McCain showed his allegiance to pro-life, pro-family positions by appointing Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska as his Vice-Presidential candidate. He could have "embraced a liberal … nominee, such as Senator Joe Lieberman or Tom Ridge." Governor Palin, he claims, is far more capable of stepping into the presidency than Senator Obama, whose days in the U.S. Senate prior to his candidacy numbered only 143, and who "authored no significant legislation" in that time
    • "For example, when he was a state senator in Illinois, he voted four times in three years against legislation that would have saved the lives of babies that managed to survive the abortion process."
    • Dobson also cites the occasion when the Senator promised Planned Parenthood that he would sign the Freedom of Choice Act first thing in his presidency. FOCA would "overturn nearly every local, state, and federal anti-abortion law passed in the last 40 years," even those abortion restrictions put in place by the 1973 ruling Roe vs. Wade.
    • "I cannot support his candidacy because the positions he holds on moral, social and family issues place him at the extreme left of the political spectrum.
    • What the Senator believes and the policies he would seek to implement are on a collision course with the biblical principles and beliefs I have fought to defend for more than 35 years," the Christian psychologist writes.

By Hilary White
SCRANTON, Pennsylvania, October 22, 2008 (
LifeSiteNews.com) – An unexpected visit by the bishop of Scranton, Pennsylvania to a parish forum on the upcoming elections, has resulted in a small firestorm of controversy, after the bishop forcefully repudiated the idea that Catholics can vote for pro-abortion politicians. Some of the bishop's comments exposed a long festering problem since the Second Vatican Council over bishops conferences and their often liberal

Coulter column hits a Line Drive @ the ONE!

Brilliant and Concise evaluation of Barack H. 0bama and Ayers at RINO "Republican" Annenberg Foundation by Ann Coulter which is a must read!
"
Ayers:  Radical Loom when 0bama was only 47"!
Back before the media realized it needed to lie about Obama launching his political career at Ayers' house, the Los Angeles Times provided an eyewitness account from a liberal who attended the event.

"When I first met Barack Obama, he was giving a standard, innocuous little talk in the living room of those two legends-in-their-own-minds, Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn. They were launching him -- introducing him to the Hyde Park community as the best thing since sliced bread."

The Times has now stripped this item from its Web page, but the great blogger Patterico has preserved it for posterity on his Web page.................The New York Times put it -- "from Walter H. Annenberg, the billionaire publisher and philanthropist and President Richard M. Nixon's ambassador to the United Kingdom."

Great Republican though he was, Walter Annenberg died in 2002. The money came from the Annenberg Foundation, which, like all foundations, distributes money to projects that its founder would despise. John Kerry ran for president on the late John Heinz's money. That didn't mean Republican Heinz was endorsing Kerry.
