F-16 Pilots Considered Ramming Flight 93

I have it on good authority(a friend who is a retired Military Pilot & on 911 was on active duty) that American Military Pilots from all over the United States and in particular the East Coast region of the US, were scrambled to the Airspace of these Eastern Cities! The brave men and women were directed to ram incoming Commercial Jets that might try to crash into the Sky scrappers of other American Cities. You see many US Military Pilots were on routine training missions when the World Trade Centers were hit. Because we were not ready for this attack and the F-15's and F-16's were not armed our Military improvised on the Spot and planned to take out any potential Aircraft hijacked and to be turned into Giant Molotov Cocktail bombs by crazed Islamo-Jihadist Assassins by ramming their Military Aircraft into them! Here is an amazing article from Aviation Week and Space Technology entitled F-16 Pilots Considered Ramming Flight 93 published on 9/09/2002 which confirms the story I was told.

  • "With the Pentagon in flames and hijacked aircraft threatening Washington, White House scrambled fighters with little or no armament.
Within minutes of American Airlines Flight 77 hitting the Pentagon on Sept. 11, Air National Guard F-16s took off from here in response to a plea from the White House to "Get in the air now!" Those fighters were flown by three pilots who had decided, on their own, to ram a hijacked airliner and force it to crash, if necessary. Such action almost certainly would have been fatal for them, but could have prevented another terrorism catastrophe in Washington. "

The bravery and ingenuity of these DC Air National Guard Pilots caught on and became the Strategy for the "on the fly response" by our brave fellow Americans! We Americans are not Crazed Assassins but are reluctant warriors but Born FIGHTERS and will Prevail!

  • Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light
  • What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
  • Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight,
  • O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
  • And the the Buildings Red Glare, the Planes bursting in air,
  • Gave proof through the World Trade Center Dust Cloud that our flag was still there.
  • Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Furthermore I've been told that before the Islamo-Jihadist Assassins slit the throats of the Commercial Pilots with the box cutters they gouged out these Civilian Pilots' Eyes blinding them!

I believe in the USA and the American Citizen and Soldier Heroes honored today...We the "Men & Women of the West" will Prevail no matter how ruthless and cunning the Islamo-Jihadist Assassins are! Why? Because we are the Americans reluctant to fight but forced to we are FIGHTERS!

55 Bishops rebuke Senator Joe Biden

The United State Conference of Catholic Bishops' Administrative Committee which is comprised of 47 Bishops, including committee chairmen and representatives of the 14 USCCB regions in the United States, are signatories to this Statement rebuking Senator Joe Biden position on abortion on September 10, 2008. This along with the other 8 Bishops who have come out against Biden's heretical statements makes 55 total.

    1. Bishop Justin Rigali
    2. Bishop William Lori
    3. Bishop Morlino of Madison
    4. Archbishop Donald Wuerl
    5. Archbishop Charles Chaput
    6. & Bishop James Conley of Denver
    7. Bishop Fran Malooly of Wilmington, DL (Biden's diocese)

Additionally, the Archdiocese of Cincinnati has posted the USCCB statement on the home page of their website.

USCCB
In light of recent comments by Catholic politicians misrepresenting Catholic teaching, the Administrative Committee of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops affirms the statements that have been issued by Cardinal Justin F. Rigali, chairman of the U.S. Bishops' Committee on Pro-Life Activities, and Bishop William E. Lori, chairman of the U.S. Bishops' Committee on Doctrine. We confirm the Catholic Church's constant teaching about the sanctity of all human life from the moment of conception and the intrinsic evil of abortion. As the teachers of the faith, we also point out the connectedness between the evil of abortion and political support for abortion. We plan to discuss the practical and pastoral implications of these serious matters at the U.S. bishops' November 10-13, 2008 general meeting in Baltimore.

USCCB
Recently we had a duty to clarify the Catholic Church's constant teaching against abortion, to correct misrepresentations of that teaching by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on "Meet the Press" (see www.usccb.org/prolife/whatsnew.shtml). On September 7, again on "Meet the Press," Senator Joseph Biden made some statements about that teaching that also deserve a response.
Senator Biden did not claim that Catholic teaching allows or has ever allowed abortion. He said rightly that human life begins "at the moment of conception," and that Catholics and others who recognize this should not be required by others to pay for abortions with their taxes.
However, the Senator's claim that the beginning of human life is a "personal and private" matter of religious faith, one which cannot be "imposed" on others, does not reflect the truth of the matter. The Church recognizes that the obligation to protect unborn human life rests on the answer to two questions, neither of which is private or specifically religious.
The first is a biological question: When does a new human life begin? When is there a new living organism of the human species, distinct from mother and father and ready to develop and mature if given a nurturing environment? While ancient thinkers had little verifiable knowledge to help them answer this question, today embryology textbooks confirm that a new human life begins at conception (see www.usccb.org/prolife/issues/bioethic/fact298.shtml). The Catholic Church does not teach this as a matter of faith; it acknowledges it as a matter of objective fact.
The second is a moral question, with legal and political consequences: Which living members of the human species should be seen as having fundamental human rights, such as a right not to be killed? The Catholic Church's answer is: Everybody. No human being should be treated as lacking human rights, and we have no business dividing humanity into those who are valuable enough to warrant protection and those who are not. This is not solely a Catholic teaching, but a principle of natural law accessible to all people of good will. The framers of the Declaration of Independence pointed to the same basic truth by speaking of inalienable rights, bestowed on all members of the human race not by any human power, but by their Creator. Those who hold a narrower and more exclusionary view have the burden of explaining why we should divide humanity into those who have moral value and those who do not and why their particular choice of where to draw that line can be sustained in a pluralistic society. Such views pose a serious threat to the dignity and rights of other poor and vulnerable members of the human family who need and deserve our respect and protection.
While in past centuries biological knowledge was often inaccurate, modern science leaves no excuse for anyone to deny the humanity of the unborn child. Protection of innocent human life is not an imposition of personal religious conviction but a demand of justice

World in denial on al-Qaeda and 9/11

On the 7th anniversary of 911 and the Murder of thousands of Americans by blood thirsty Islamic Jihadists on a Kamikaze Assassin Mission so that Allah(The Supreme Being or God) will reward them with 72 Virgins in Paradise a survey reveals that citizens of the World belive that Al Qaeda was not responsible for 911! No wonder 0bama would win if the World voted for the next American President... see this article, It's Official:  The World Wants Obama
Scotsman

SEVEN years after the 9/11 attacks, there is no consensus outside the United States that Islamist militants from al-Qaeda were responsible.
WorldPublicOpinion.org surveyed 16,063 people in 17 nations and found majorities in only nine countries believe al-Qaeda was behind the attacks that killed around 3,000 people in 2001.
On average, 46 percent said al-Qaida was behind the attacks, 15 percent cite the U.S. government, 7 percent blame Israel
and 7 percent think there was another perpetrator. One in four said they don't know who was responsible.
"Given the extraordinary impact the 9/11 attacks have had on world
affairs, it is remarkable that seven years later there is no international
consensus about who was behind them," Steven Kull, director of WorldPublicOpinion.org, said.
Fifty-six percent of Britons and Italians, 63 percent of French and 64 percent of Germans believe al-Qaida was
behind the attacks. But 24 percent of Germans and 36 percent of Turks cite the U.S. government, and 43 percent of
Egyptians say Israel was responsible.
Kenya (77 percent) and Nigeria (71 percent) had the highest percentages blaming al-Qaida.
The poll, managed by the Program on International Policy Attitudes at the University of Maryland, of surveyed 16,063 people July 15 to Aug. 31. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 3-4 percent.

What is the definition of an Assassin? Well it is surprise surprise a Muslim fanatic!
  • [French, from Medieval Latin assassnus, from Arabic an, pl. of a, hashish user, from a, hashish. See hashish.]
  • one of an order of Muslim fanatics, active in Persia and Syria from about 1090 to 1272, whose chief object was to assassinate Crusaders.
  • [Origin: 1525?35; < ML assassini (pl.) < Ar h?ashshashin eaters of hashish]
    • They were members of a secret Islamic order originating in the 11th century who believed it was a religious duty to harass and murder their enemies. The most important members of the order were those who actually did the killing. Having been promised paradise in return for dying in action, the killers, it is said, were made to yearn for paradise by being given a life of pleasure that included the use of hashish. From this came the name for the secret order as a whole, an, "hashish users." After passing through French or Italian, the word came into English and is recorded in 1603 with reference to the Muslim Assassins.
Reflecting on this definition for a moment can give one an idea of the twisted and depraved view of an enemy who believes that their God wants us Non-Muslims Infidel DEAD! This concept is woven into the fabric of a segment(hopefully small) of these people which spans a 1000 years....

Well, in honor of the first heroes/fallen citizen soldiers of United Airlines Flight 93 near Shanksville, Pennsylvania who saved Americans by fighting back and the Emergency Firemen, Port Authority, Civilians and Policeman who died saving thousands of victims this atrocity at the World trade Center, I'd like to underscore the power and strength of the American Spirit by recounting a little told story....

I have it on good authority(a friend who is a retired Military Pilot & on 911 was on active duty) that American Military Pilots from all over the United States and in particular the East Coast region of the US, were scrambled to the Airspace of these Eastern Cities! Dad drowns saving Son w/ Downs! Biden upset?

What would the Champion of Embryonic Stem Cell Research(ESCR) Senator Biden say of a 66 year old father of a son who is a Priest and of son who has Down Syndrome and dies saving the latter.  This father, a devout Roman Catholic who in all likely-hood is not an ECSCR supporter a bigger champion of Special Needs Children or Biden who wants to use Federal Tax Payer dollars to kill babies for the sole purpose of sacking and pillaging their cells and DNA?
"I hear all this talk about how the Republicans are going to work in dealing with parents who have both...the joy and the difficulty of raising a child who has a developmental disability, who were born with a birth defect," Sen. Biden said at a rally in Columbia, Mo., on Tuesday. "Well, guess what folks? If you care about it, why don't you support stem-cell research?"Wall Street Journal

Man drowns while saving his disabled son

Thomas S. Vander Woude's greatest passions were his Catholic faith and his family, one of his daughters-in-law said.

That love for his family led him to sacrifice his life to save his son's. On Monday, the 66-year-old Nokesville
man died while trying to rescue his 20-year-old son from drowning,
Prince William County police reported Monday afternoon.
"I'll miss the joy that he brings and brought,"
Erin Vander Woude, 42, said of her father-in-law.

Around noon Monday, police say Thomas Vander Woude drowned in a septic tank on his property
at the end of Hooker Lane after his youngest son fell in, said Officer Erika Hernandez, police spokeswoman.

He was transported to Prince William Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Hernandez said.

Joseph Vander Woude, who has Down syndrome, was also taken to the hospital and was in intensive
care as of Monday night, the family said.

"He still needs prayers," said Erin Vander Woude, standing on the front porch of her in-laws' house.

Police said the 20-year-old was outside cleaning the family's pool at the time, Hernandez said.

He walked into the yard and the lid on the septic tank apparently collapsed, police said.

The 66-year-old went to his son's help, pushing his way past his son into the tank and began t
o try to push him out, Hernandez said.

A man who was doing work at the house tried to help, holding Joseph Vander Woude up by his shirt,
and yelled for the mother to call 911.

Fire and rescue workers arrived and pulled both men from the tank, Hernandez said.
Police said that the father may have been under water for up to 20 minutes.

Thomas Vander Woude, who served as a pilot in Vietnam and later worked as an airline pilot,
had seven sons with his wife of 43 years, family members said.

Erin Vander Woude said her father-in-law, known as Pa Pa to his 24 grandchildren, t
ouched many lives, volunteering as a coach at Seton School in Manassas and through his work
at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

She described his as a "life well lived."
Senator Biden I will bet you a Famous Brownie Scranton Pa.Pizza that this father makes it into heaven on a bullet train even without supporting your push for support Embryonic Stem Cell Research!  Hat Tip Te-Deum

0bama saved twice by Curious George Step-on-all-of-US

UNBELIEVABLE...on 2 levels 1st Coaching by MSM & 2nd more Heretical Lies expressed by a Greek Orthodox Opinion Journalist!
I have been looking for the Transcript of the 0bama & George Stephanopoulos interview for in addition to 0bama having the Freudian Muslim crack corrected by George.  Curious George also helped him when 0bama started to go Theological on him on the question dealing with when babies get human rights...Curiously I could not make out what George said under his breath...well here it is per Inside Catholic and Political Punch the ABC News Blog.
  • This Week with George Stephanopoulos, Sen. Barack Obama tried to undo the damage done by his Saddleback Church interview with Rick Warren -- specifically his comment that the question of when an unborn child receives human rights was "above [his] pay grade."
    •  "Was that phrase too flip?" Stephanopoulos asked Obama.
    •  "Probably," Obama said. "Yes. I mean, what I intended to say is that, as a Christian, I have a lot of humility about understanding when does the soul enter into..."
    •  At that moment, Stephanopoulos cut him short, interjecting, "It goes back to Augustine," as if to remind him of the Pelosi line.
    •  Obama quickly got back on track. "It does, it's a pretty tough question. And so, all I meant to communicate was that I don't presume to be able to answer these kinds of theological questions.  What I do know is that abortion is a moral issue, that it's one that families struggle with all the time, and that in wrestling with those issues, I don't think that the government criminalizing the choices that families make is the best answer for reducing abortions."

0bama doesn't only have a glass jaw but a porcelain brain too...Curiously George tried to Step-on-all-of-US again!  Objective Journalism and Greek Orthodoxy?

Bishop Slattery Issues Response to Pelosi, Biden Abortion Remarks

9/10/2008 - EOC Staff

September 9, 2008
Saint Peter Claver, Apostle to the enslaved

To the priests and deacons of the diocese, whose lives bear witness to the truth of the Gospel, to the men and women religious whose lives bear witness to the power of the Gospel, and to all the faithful of the Diocese, committed - as I am - to our common struggle to preserve the sanctity of  all human life, from its natural conception to its natural death, I send my greetings in the Lord.

In recent weeks, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Sen. Joe Biden have been asked by Tom Brokaw on "Meet the Press" to explain their personal opinions on the question of “When does Human Life Begin?” The essence of their views, which they both claim are developed from their experience as Catholics, is first, that the tradition is inconsistent (Pelosi), and second, that even if it is clear, it is a matter of personal faith which, in a democracy, ought not be imposed on others (Biden). Having made their views public, and by presenting themselves as Catholics, both Speaker Pelosi and Sen. Biden have invited a discussion about the legitimacy of their views.

I, and other bishops, have already stated that Speaker Pelosi’s position is clearly inconsistent with Catholic teaching, and to promote such a view is scandalous. There are many witnesses in the tradition that clearly state the Catholic view in opposition to Speaker Pelosi.

In view of the absolute duty that we all have of protecting innocent human life, it is also necessary to respond publicly to Sen. Biden’s remarks. In his interview, Sen. Biden explained that although he was prepared as a matter of faith to accept the teaching that life begins at the moment of conception, it would be wrong in a pluralistic society to impose that judgment on everyone else, who may be just as ardent as he is in their own faith. He remarked that abortion is “a personal and private issue.”

Sen. Biden’s remarks reflect two erroneous beliefs. It is plainly false to assert that the answer to the question of when human life begins is limited to the realm of personal and private faith and that therefore there is no basis for preferring one position over another. While it is true that Christian revelation provides a framework for understanding human nature, there is also biological evidence on when human life begins, that all persons of good will, and not just Christians, may examine. Also, the division that Sen. Biden creates between privacy and social responsibility is tenuous. He supposes that social responsibility ends at the point that we turn the decision over to individuals.

Modern science clearly proves that human life begins at conception. At the moment when DNA from the mother and the father combine, a new, unique human being, who will develop continuously until death, is created. From then on, the early zygote functions as a human being. It has specifically human enzymes and proteins, and, over time, it develops complex human tissues and organs. After this genetic transfer, it can never develop into any other kind of being. Even as it develops through the process of pregnancy, the human nature of the zygote, embryo, fetus, or baby never changes. It is this nature that directs and causes the miraculous physical transformation that takes place during the pregnancy.

In fact, the desire of some persons to destroy embryos in order to harvest stem cells is dependent upon the reality that they are already biologically human. Sen. Biden’s support for increased federal funding of embryonic stem cell research would therefore be at odds with his stated belief that life begins at conception. Contrary to some misconceptions, the early human embryo is not a vague collection of tissues without specificity. In fact the exact opposite is true. The first cells of this new human being contain all of the information that will guide its development throughout life. The process of embryonic and fetal development involves “switching off” the complete power of the early cells so that they only take on one function, like being a heart cell.

While there are some members of our society who would like to define this biological human being as someone who does not share our basic human rights, such as the right to its own existence, this is a dangerous path. We, as a human society, have gone this way before, with disastrous results. Inevitably, it ends with the act of murdering those whom we objectify, as we have seen with the lynching of African Americans, or the Holocaust, or the countless other genocides of the 20th century. Whenever we treat another human being as an object, a thing, that we may do with as we please, rather than as a human person made in the image and likeness of God, we diminish, and inevitably destroy that being, and ourselves.

It is also paradoxical to suggest that by throwing the cloak of “privacy” over the act of abortion, that individual choice can transform an evil act into something that is good, or even tolerable. If, as Sen. Biden believes, human life begins at conception, it is difficult to see how that view can be reconciled with the position that we, as a society, should legally allow individual persons to decide on their own if murder is wrong.

The modern day notion of “privacy” assumes that there is a neat division between the individual who makes a decision, and the rest of the human community. A “private” decision is one that is limited to the individual. However, in the case of abortion, this decision has implications not only for the mother, but also for the father, both of their immediate families, and, in fact, for all of our society. The mother and the father lose a child, the family a niece or nephew, or grandchild, and the rest of us, a companion in life. How we protect, or ignore, these smallest members of our human community defines who we are as human persons.

A democracy, in order to flourish, must attend to the defense of the values that are essential to the human community. Ignoring this hard work and simply relegating abortion to the sphere of individual choice allows a cancer to eat at our very core, as we permit some human persons to sacrifice the lives of others for their own personal reasons. As Catholics, we cannot accept the premise that in the name of “privacy” all choices are equally right.

Sen. Biden has opposed federal funding of abortions and backed the ban on partial birth abortions, and for that he should be commended. Yet, his justification for continuing to allow Roe v. Wade to stand as the law of the United States is incompatible with Catholic teaching.

Once an evil is truly seen for what it is, neither can an emphasis on “privacy” excuse one’s moral responsibility to act to stop it, nor can defining murder as a “right to choose” change what it is that is actually chosen.

Trusting always in the protection of Our Blessed Lady, whose immaculate womb first tabernacled the Word made Flesh, and asking for your prayers, I am

In Domino

Abortion CathodeChick & Aquinas PlugHead in TROUBLE!

I have been on the USCCB Website and the Rigali-Lori Cardinal/Bishop tag team against Cafeteria Un Catholic Catholics has not posted it yet but the statment has been released to Catholic New Agency & it Blog and LifeNews.com. This one is a GEM!

It’s not yet up on the conference’s Web site as of this writing, but the following release was just issued by the USCCB. We’ll have a story in the morning.

(UPDATED Sept. 10):

WASHINGTON-Cardinal Justin F. Rigali, chairman of the  U.S. Bishops’ Committee on Pro-Life Activities, and Bishop William E. Lori, chairman, U.S. Bishops Committee on Doctrine, issued the following statement:

Recently we had a duty to clarify the Catholic Church’s constant teaching against abortion, to correct misrepresentations of that teaching by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on “Meet the Press” (see www.usccb.org/prolife/whatsnew.shtml).   On September 7, again on “Meet the Press,” Senator Joseph Biden made some statements about that teaching that also deserve a response.

Biden hasn't ever heard of the Special Olympics?

We have The Special Olympics and the Paralympics...Joe Biden would qualify for neither as all these challenged athletes are more talented than he is.  Nonetheless at their expense he insults them

  • The Democratic vice-presidential nominee's comments were apparently aimed at his Republican rival, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who has an infant son with Down syndrome and opposes embryonic-stem-cell research.
  • [Biden, Joseph]
  • "I hear all this talk about how the Republicans are going to work in dealing with parents who have both...the joy and the difficulty of raising a child who has a developmental disability, who were born with a birth defect," Sen. Biden said at a rally in Columbia, Mo., on Tuesday. "Well, guess what folks? If you care about it, why don't you support stem-cell research?"

For the intellectually disabled and their families, it's just as bad as the "N"-word.

By Maria Shriver  8-22-2008
This has ben a year filled with teachable political moments. Racism, sexism, ageism and "change" have been debated at kitchen tables and water coolers across America. But this last week, those gathered around my kitchen table have been consumed with another discussion, one that is not Democratic or Republican -- it's the "R-word" debate.

The "R-word" stands for "retard." For the 6 million to 8 million Americans with intellectual disabilities and their families, this word and its hurtful use is equal to the impact of the "N-word" on an African American.

The reason it's kitchen-table fodder is because of the Dreamworks film "Tropic Thunder," which topped the box-office charts when it opened last weekend and which will attract many more moviegoers this weekend. In the R-rated film, which I've seen, a character named Simple Jack is a caricature of a person with a developmental disability. In one of the scenes, the character played by Robert Downey Jr. chastises Ben Stiller's character for "going full retard," and the "R-word" is repeated many times

Arbp Chaput 2 "Popes of no Hope for babies" Biden

Arcbishop Chaput responds to Pelosi and Biden today in a letter to voters in the Archdiocese of Denver

Public Servants and Moral Reasoning:

A notice to the Catholic community in northern Colorado

To Catholics of the Archdiocese of Denver:

When Catholics serve on the national stage, their actions and words impact the faith of Catholics

around the country. As a result, they open themselves to legitimate scrutiny by local Catholics and

local bishops on matters of Catholic belief. In 2008, although NBC probably didn't intend it, Meet the Press  has become a national window on the flawed moral reasoning of some Catholic public servants.

On August 24, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, describing herself as an ardent, practicing Catholic, misrepresented the overwhelming body of Catholic teaching against abortion to the show's nationwide audience, while defending her "pro-choice" abortion views. On September 7, Sen. Joseph Biden compounded the problem to the same Meet the Press audience.

Sen. Biden is a man of distinguished public service. That doesn't excuse poor logic or bad facts.  Asked when life begins, Sen. Biden said that, "it's a personal and private issue." But in reality, modern biology knows exactly when human life begins: at the moment of conception. Religion has nothing to do with it. People might argue when human "personhood" begins - though that leads public policy in very dangerous directions - but no one can any longer claim that the beginning of life is a matter of religious opinion.

Sen. Biden also confused the nature of pluralism. Real pluralism

thrives on healthy, non-violent disagreement; it requires an environment where people of conviction will struggle respectfully but vigorously to advance their beliefs. In his interview, the senator observed that other people with strong religious views disagree with the Catholic approach to abortion. It's certainly true that we need to acknowledge the views of other people and compromise whenever possible - but not at the expense of a developing child's right to life. Abortion is a foundational issue; it is not an issue like housing policy or the price of foreign oil. It always involves the intentional killing of an innocent life, and it is always, grievously wrong. If, as Sen. Biden said, "I'm prepared as a matter of faith [emphasis

added] to accept that life begins at the moment of conception," then he is not merely wrong about the science of new life; he also fails to defend the innocent life he already knows is there.  As the senator said in his interview, he has opposed public funding for abortions. To his great credit,  he also backed a successful ban on partial-birth abortions. But his strong support for the 1973  Supreme Court decision

Roe v. Wade and the false "right" to abortion it enshrines, can't be excused by any serious Catholic. Support for Roe and the "right to choose" an abortion simply masks what abortion is, and what abortion does. Roe is bad law. As long as it stands, it prevents returning the abortion issue to the states where it belongs, so that the American people can decide its future through fair debate and legislation.

In his Meet the Press interview, Sen. Biden used a morally exhausted argument that American Catholics have been hearing for 40 years: i.e., that Catholics can't "impose" their religiously based views on the rest of the country. But resistance to abortion is a matter of human rights, not religious opinion. And the senator knows very well as a lawmaker that all law involves the imposition of some people's convictions on everyone else. That is the nature of the law. American Catholics have allowed themselves to be bullied into accepting the destruction of more than a million developing unborn children a year. Other people have imposed their "pro-choice" beliefs on American society without any remorse for decades.

If we claim to be Catholic, then American Catholics, including public officials who describe themselves as Catholic, need to act accordingly. We need to put an end to Roe and the industry of permissive abortion it enables. Otherwise all of us - from senators and members of Congress, to Catholic laypeople in the pews - fail not only as believers and disciples, but also as citizens.

Obama acknowledged Sunday that he was probably too flip when he said it was "above my pay grade" to answer a question about when is a baby entitled to human rights.
Obama gave his answer last month at a nationally televised religious forum sponsored by minister Rick Warren at his megachurch in Orange County, Calif.
Asked on Sunday whether the "above my pay grade" answer was too flip, Obama said: "Probably. ...What I intended to say is that, as a Christian, I have a lot of humility about understanding when does the soul enter into ... It's a pretty tough question.
"And so, all I meant to communicate was that I don't presume to be able to answer these kinds of theological questions," he said in an interview broadcast Sunday on ABC's "This Week

VP(Vise-Pope) Biden errs on St. Aquinas & Abortion!

Senator Joe Biden like Speaker Nancy Pelosi steps on to terra sanctus....Holy Ground.  He like his fellow Pope of Catholic Dopes Nancy Pelosi spouts off with Heresy.  He delves into the Summa Thelogica written by Saint Thomas Aquinas and that he teaches that Animation of the fetus does not occur until 40 days after conception when quickening occurs.  WRONG WRONG WRONG Pseudo-Catholic Biden:
What is Animation?

  • Secular Definition: The act of animating, or giving life or spirit; the state of being animate or alive.
The animation of the same soul quickening the whole frame. --Dictionary.com
  • Catholic Definition:  Animation (or ensoulment) The exact time when the fetus becomes 'animated' has no practical significance as far as the morality of abortion is concerned.  By any theory of 'animation,' abortion is gravely wrong. Why so? Because every direct abortion is a sin of murdr by intent. It is, to say the least, probable that every developing fetus is a human being. To deliberately kill what is probably human is murder. deliberately kill what is probably human is murderJohn A. Hardin, S.J. Catholic Culture.org
Biden and Pelosi have decided to skirt their non-compliance with what the Catholic Church has always taught about abortion which was prevalent during the time of the Roman Empire by taking the theological and philosophical debates of St. Augustine's and St. Aquinas' over this issue out of context.  It is truly ridiculous and specious because these Fathers of the Church always taught that abortion was intrinsically evil before embryology was developed into a science centuries later.  Nonetheless regardless of whatever lack of clarity or confusion attributed to these two Church Fathers it is undeniable that they always taught that Abortion was wrong.  St. Augustine thought that the penalty for later abortions should be stiffer than abortions performed earlier doing the gestational period.  For Biden and Pelosi the salient point is that St. Augustine Fathers taught that there was a penalty for abortion.
From
New Advent.org

This aged debate among the learned delved into the question of when during the period of gestation does the human embryo begins to be animated by the rational, spiritual soul, which elevates man above all other species of the animal creation and survives the body to live forever. The keenest mind among the ancient philosophers, Aristotle, had conjectured that the future child was endowed at conception with a principle of only vegetative life, which was exchanged after a few days for an animal soul, and was not succeeded by a rational soul till later; his followers said on the fortieth day for a male, and the eightieth for a female, child. The authority of his great name and St. Augustine and the Aristilian Theologian St. Thomas Aquinas relied on Aristotle as a basis from which to begin their debate. Additionally as early as the fourth century of the Christian era, St. Gregory of Nyssa had preached a view which modern science has confirmed almost to a certainty, namely, that the same life principle quickens the organism from the first moment of its individual existence until its death (Eschbach, Disp. Phys., Disp., iii). Now it is at the very time of conception, or fecundation, that the embryo begins to live a distinct individual life. For life does not result from an organism when it has been built up, but the vital principle builds up the organism of its own body.

In virtue of the one
eternal act of the Will of the Creator, Who is of course ever present at every portion of His creation, the soul of every new human being begins to exist when the cell which generation has provided is ready to receive it as its principle of life. In the normal course of nature the living embryo carries on its work of, self-evolution within the maternal womb, deriving its nourishment from the placenta through the vital cord, till, on reaching maturity, it is by the contraction of the uterus issued to lead its separate life. Abortion is a fatal termination of this process. It may result from various causes, which may be classed under two heads, accidental and intentional.

Catholic Apologtics International  delves into the Roe v Wade decision and how St. Aquinas' work was manipulated by the court;
Accordingly, the context of the passage (Summa Theologica, Part 1, Q. 118) does not say that the unborn does not have a soul at conception, but only that at the latter end of gestation the “intellectual soul” is formed, which, with everything else we know about Thomas’ theology, shows that he is most likely speaking of a development of the soul in accord with the development of the body, since, as it was known and still is, the soul is the form of the body. In other words, the soul develops as the body develops, but, in Thomas’ view, a more primitive human soul and human body are present at the moment of conception.

If one asserts that Thomas believed that there was no human soul prior to 40-80 days, nevertheless, it must also be admitted that he did not believe this granted permission to abort the unborn child during that period of time. Thomas was against abortion in all cases, as were all the rest of the Church’s Fathers and medieval theologians, as we will see momentarily. The only view he might have held is, if a pre-40-80 day old fetus (i.e., an “unanimated” fetus) was inadvertently killed by a striking of the mother, the person responsible for the incident would not be guilty of homicide. In reference to Exodus 21:22-23, Thomas writes:

He that strikes a woman with child does something unlawful: wherefore if there results the death either of the woman or of the animated fetus, he will not be excused from homicide, especially seeing that death is the natural result of such a blow. (Summa Theologica, Q. 64, Art. 8, Reply to Obj. 2).

Thomas does not say, however, that it would be permitted for the mother or anyone else to terminate, arbitrarily, the life of the pre-40-80 day old fetus. For Thomas and the rest of the Church, the unanimated fetus held the potential of being born, and that potential could not be disturbed by any whim of man.

Vise-Pope Biden is wrong on what Muslims and Jews believe about abortion. From Beliefnet.com:
  • Islam prohibits abortion except when the mother's life is in danger. Muslims consider a fertilized ovum that is attached to the womb a living being that has the potential of reaching its full formation. A developed fetus is considered a human life and is subject to the laws of inheritance to the extent that if the mother is sentenced to capital punishment, her life should be preserved because she is carrying another human life.
  • According to Rabbi Raymond A. Zwerin and Rabbi Richard J. Shapiro, writing for the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice, traditional Jewish law teaches that "the fetus is not considered a full human being, and has no individual rights, but rather, according to many sources, is a part of a woman's body. And just as any person may not voluntarily do harm to his or her body, a woman may not voluntarily abort a fetus. However, just as a portion of the body may be sacrificed to save a person's life, an abortion may be performed for the woman's overall well-being, and an existing life takes precedence over potential life, if there must be a choice between them."

JOHN CARDINAL O'CONNOR former ARCHBISHOP OF NEW YORK explains Saint Aquinas position very well and the wayward Catholics errant perspective here
Hasn't Church teaching changed on the subject of abortion?
The Church has never changed its teaching that abortion is evil. What has confused some people is that the Church's penalty for abortion has changed from time to time. Pope Paul Vl declared that the teaching of the Church about the morality of abortion "has not changed and is unchangeable." Although some people point out that Saint Thomas Aquinas thought the soul did not come to the fetus ("ensoulment") until sometime after conception, the fact is that he considered abortion gravely sinful even before this time. He taught that it was a "grave sin against the natural law" to kill the fetus at any stage, and a graver sin of homicide to do so after ensoulment.
Our present Holy Father, Pope John Paul II, clearly stated the consistent teaching of the Church in 1979 when he said:
"I do not hesitate to proclaim before you and before the world that all human life—from the moment of conception and through all subsequent states—is sacred, because human life is created in the image and likeness of God. Nothing surpasses the greatness or dignity of a human person. . . If a person's right to life is violated at the moment in which he is first conceived in his mother's womb, an indirect blow is struck also at the whole of the moral order, which serves to ensure the inviolable goods of man. Among those goods, life occupies the first place...And so we will stand up every time that human life is threatened. When the sacredness of life before birth is attacked, we will stand up and proclaim that no one ever has the authority to destroy unborn life." (Homily on the Capitol Mall, Washington, D.C., October 7, 1979 )
It is unfortunate that some Catholics in the United States, sometimes under the guise of "pluralism," assert that Church teaching on certain critical moral issues is open to individual opinion. In the case of abortion this is simply not so. The Church teaches that abortion is a grave moral evil. This is the unquestionable teaching of the Church, the Catholic position. Those who disagree are simply rejecting the teaching of the Church. In so doing they are not presenting the authentic Catholic position.

The Catholic Church, from its first days, condemned the aborting of unborn children as gravely sinful. Not only Scripture’s teaching about God’s protection of life in the womb (consider the prophets and the psalms and the Gospel stories about John the Baptist and Jesus himself in Mary’s womb) but also the first century catechism (the Didache or Teaching of the Twelve Apostles) said: “You shall not slay the child by abortions. You shall not kill what is generated.” The teaching of the Church was clear in a Roman Empire that permitted abortion. This same teaching has been constantly reiterated in every place and time up to Vatican II, which condemned abortion as a “heinous crime.” This is true today and will be so tomorrow. Any other comments, by politicians, professors, pundits or the occasional priest, are erroneous and cannot be proposed in good faith.
This teaching has consequences for those charged with caring for the common good, those who hold public office. The unborn child, who is alive and is a member of the human family, cannot defend himself or herself. Good law defends the defenseless. Our present laws permit unborn children to be privately killed. Laws that place unborn children outside the protection of law destroy both the children killed and the common good, which is the controlling principle of Catholic social teaching. One cannot favor the legal status quo on abortion and also be working for the common good.

"Holy" Pelosi, Pope of Dope Catholics 4 Palin

Mimi Pelosi the Pope of Dope Catholics accepts Archbishop's Niederauer invitation for a conversation after her heretical preaching on Meet the Press 2 weeks.  Additionally the parentally instilled holiness that she tries to feign by going to communion at a Church which she disagrees with seems to be endorsing Sarah Palin PTA(Presidential Teaching Association) route into Politics because being a Mother is so replete with developing the skill set so necessary to be a leader and Politician.  Dope Pelosi's comments about family, holiness and political training programs by being a mother and family oriented drips with irony.  Hey Pope of Dope Catholics Pelosi if this is the case why are you advocating the killing of children in the womb...maybe I am a dope Catholic but I do not understand the contradiction of words and statments? See Ladies Home Journal

Nancy Pelosi: Absolutely, and this is what I want women to know, so they recognize the value of their own path, their unique experience. I've been in politics a while, over 20 years in the Congress of the United States, and this is a very rough-and-tumble.... I shouldn't say 'rough,' let me say a very challenging arena to be in. But as challenging as it is, nothing is as challenging as raising a family -- nothing. That experience forced me to be disciplined, diplomatic, focused, and successful, and I brought that discipline and focus to the Congress. Also, having a family keeps you focused on the future, which is the biggest inspiration in politics. In order to do what it takes to succeed in politics, you have to be inspired by your constituents, the power of your ideas, and the fact that you speak on behalf of children and their future, whether you have children of your own or not. It makes all the difference in the world.

LHJ: How did your children react when you became the first female Speaker?

NP: [Laughs] To tell you the truth, I was so busy winning the election and actually, when we won we were still not finished because we had a few races where the outcome was in doubt. I was so engrossed that when the day came, a week later, 10 days later, whenever it was, when the day came I just thought, "Oh my God!" And I remember how still-engrossed in the elections I was when my name was placed in nomination. I went to accept it and Rahm Emanuel said to me, "Your parents would be so proud." It just took me aback, because, well, of course my parents are proud of me, but they didn't raise me to be Speaker, they raised me to be good, to be holy, and that was the measure of success for them, for their children. Yes, they would be proud of this because it is a wonderful accomplishment, but my parents wanted my personal happiness and personal fulfillment to be the measure of our success and the source of their pride. And it just struck me when he said that, I thought "Well, they've been proud of me my whole life just because of the person that I am and the parent I became. But I guess you're right, now I am the Speaker of the House!" And then it really dawned on me, "Oh my, now I'm in a whole different realm."

Community Organizer a Hillary Democrat's take!

Now that Lady Sarah from Alaska is getting reprimanded by the Obama Campaign for comminting the unspeakable... the sin of hurting the feelings of Community Organizers by wondering in front of a national audience how this qualifies Obama to be President it is interesting to learn that some Daily Kos people wondered the same thing months ago.  Here is the timely perspective from the Confluence, a Hillary supporter and Daily Kos contributor wonders how Community Organizer experiences of a Barack H. Obama make him a match for Hillary Clinton's during the Democrat Party's Primary season last April in this post entitled Barack Obama: Community Organizer

In terms of concrete accomplishments, Obama and “hundreds of other organizers” were not able to transform the South Side neighborhoods or bring in new industries to provide jobs. Obama’s most commonly cited achievement was in forcing the city to begin testing for asbestos in all city apartments. The work did have a powerful impact on Obama himself.

    • “I can’t say we didn’t make mistakes, that I knew what I was doing,” Obama recalled three years ago to a boisterous convention of the still-active DCP. “Sometimes I called a meeting, and nobody showed up. Sometimes preachers said, ‘Why should I listen to you?’ Sometimes we tried to hold politicians accountable, and they didn’t show up. I couldn’t tell whether I got more out of it than this neighborhood.”
  • It does appear that his history of community organizing is central to Obama’s identity, seemingly even more important to him than his work as a legislator. The mystery is how with all this community activity, Obama managed to remain ignorant of the fact that his benefactor, Antoin Rezko, wasn’t paying utility bills for his tenents, many of whom lived in Obama’s IL state senate district.
  • Thanks, Katiebird. I don’t understand it either. How in the world could people like Kennedy, Kerry, and Daschle think this is enough preparation for the presidency–even in “normal” times, much less with the huge problems we have now? They seem to think that the role of President is just to “inspire.” The guy doesn’t even inspire me, and obviously more than half of Democrats who have voted so far agree with me. I just don’t get it.
